The last iOS device I owned was the iPhone 5c, way back in 2013, right before I switched to Android. Sadly, my wife and I's experience with Android over the last few years has resulted in lemon phones (even top-of-the-line Galaxy devices, like the S23 Ultra), which had to be swapped out before hitting our two-year mark. So while recently switching carriers we decided to switch back to Apple, While we miss our Samsung devices we are not hating our experience with Apple either. Both companies do things very well and not so well in other departments. At the end of the day if you like apple products this is a good "intro" tablet to get started.

I am Android cellphone user but I appreciate the functionality of the iPad, it is a great tablet. I use my iPad for general internet surfing, checking email, paying bills, checking up on the location of the kids who have iPhones, and facetime with the family.
