My first iPad was a 5G base iPad and it was still working OK but the battery was dying and it couldn't be updated. So, I finally upgraded to latest 11g (A16) iPad. So far, it's been working great! It's very fast and runs the latest apps. Also, I'm getting over 10 hours on a single charge. For most people this is the iPad to get.

Very satisfied with this iPad. Very easy to set up and transfer information from old iPad to new. This one is very fast and holds a charge all day. I do everything on my iPad…read books, get news, social media, play games and it’s essential for me that I have one that is reliable. Very pleased

I purchased this for my 77 year old Mother. Technology is very challenging for her. But she *generally* understands how to use her iPhone. She needs a tablet though for the games, texting, movies, audio books, etc that she likes to do but struggles with because of her tremor and eyesight. So I took her to Best Buy. We looked at different tablet models, but the iPad just made sense because it would function identical to her iphone, but on a bigger screen, and be easier for me to set up. No extra learning curve that would come with Mom having to learn a new platform. I was able to set it up in 20 minutes (maybe less) using my mother's iPhone, adjust the icons and text to her preferred font size, and adjust lighting and sound the way she likes it very easily. She has loved it! The main issue now is that she forgets she has it and will work primarily on her iphone until I remind her that she has her tablet. But that's not a product issue of course.

The screen display is top notch, it is light, sleek and durable. I take it everywhere with me. It holds a very long charge, the apple pen is awesome! I have an art app on this iPad and cannot believe how incredible the colors are. High five to apple for making yet another stellar product!

I am very pleased with the new Apple iPad. I particularly like the size. It is also light and easy to hold. The new features on this iPad makes it easy to work with two apps at the same time. One of the features that also stands out is the 256GB storage. No more fear of running out of storage and having to delete an app.

I got this just because I wanted a larger display to run the same apps as my iPhone, but it’s been so much more. I’ve connected it through my iPhone hotspot, so I didn’t need the cellular version. I’m able to answer iPhone calls using the iPad as a really good speakerphone. There’s no comparison between FaceTime on an iPhone and on the iPad. The iPad connects to the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard I already owned for a laptop-like experience (that’s how I’m entering this review now). I also got an inexpensive Apple adapter that plugs into the iPad’s USBC port and provides a HDMI connector, USB 2.0, and USBC port. The HDMI picture looks great on a TV, and the iPad is a great streaming device. I can connect devices like external HDs and thumb drives to the USB 2.0. The USBC port on the connector can be used to charge the iPad, so connecting those external devices doesn’t drain battery power. The best part, and what I expected from Apple: configuring everything was a breeze. I didn’t know I’d find so many things that work on and with the iPad, and the only thing I bought beyond the stock system in the box was a simple adapter.

I bought this because I needed more storage. I didn’t want a full size laptop. This allow me to access my Apple Numbers, email, Apple TV, photo albums and surf the internet. Does what I need it to do and has enough storage to download movies and shows for plane rides. I bought a Zagg detachable keyboard that works really well as a case and keyboard. Great for making it a mini computer.

My prior iPad was a series 5 and was starting to bog down surfing various web sites (it did not perform well at all on Best Buy's web site). It was time for an upgrade. I went with the 256Gb since my 128Gb was always at capacity. I noticed that Best Buy put it on sale shortly after I purchased. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to obtain a credit for the difference via Best Buy's price match guarantee. The new A16 iPad is working well. No more issues on the Best Buy website either!

Bought this to replace my older iPad that had gotten so slow. In addition to being a little larger, this iPad is much better (faster & clearer). Bought it at Best Buy to get the best price, several bonus features, and picked it up immediately.

It is a minor, iterative refresh designed to be the reliable "default" choice for the average person. The Reality: Where it Actually Excels The Longest Battery in the Lineup: Ironically, because it doesn't feature a power-hungry M-series laptop processor or a complex dual-layer OLED screen, its battery life is phenomenal. It consistently pushes 11+ hours of real-world use, beating out the iPad Air and sitting right up there with the $1,000+ iPad Pro. The Value Sweet Spot: If you are buying the 256GB version, you are clearing the biggest hurdle of entry-level iPads (running out of storage space). For watching streaming apps, reading, typing up documents, and casual gaming, it delivers 90% of the iPad Pro experience for a fraction of the cost. The Landscape Camera: Putting the front-facing camera on the long edge was the best design fix Apple made to the base lineup. Your face actually looks centered during video calls rather than staring awkwardly off to the side. The Honest Down sides: What Apple Hides in the Fine Print The Air Gap Display: Unlike the iPad Air or Pro, the screen on this base iPad is not laminated. There is a tiny microscopic gap between the top glass you touch and the actual LCD display underneath. If you tap it with an Apple Pencil, it sounds hollow, and outdoors it is incredibly reflective because it lacks a premium anti-reflective coating. Artificial Accessory Locks: It will not work with the Apple Pencil 2 or the Apple Pencil Pro. If you want a stylus, you are forced to use the Apple Pencil (USB-C), which lacks pressure sensitivity—meaning it's fine for taking text notes but pretty mediocre for serious digital artists. Zero Apple Intelligence: Because it runs on an A16 Bionic chip (originally from the iPhone 14 Pro era) and has less RAM than its M-series siblings, it does not support any native Apple Intelligence features. If you care about local AI writing tools, photo cleaning features, or the overhauled Siri, this hardware is permanently locked out of them. The No-Nonsense Verdict: Think of this iPad like a Honda Civic. It is incredibly reliable, has a fantastic battery, plenty of storage space at 256GB, and will easily last you 5 years without breaking a sweat. But if you are buying it hoping for a cutting-edge creative powerhouse, a laptop replacement, or a piece of futuristic AI tech, you are going to be disappointed. It is built to be a great, dependable tablet—nothing more, nothing less.

great tablet very fast and plenty of space save yourself of dealing with storage issues with the 252gb we have had this over a year and have not gone over a 100gb. My work ipad is a 64gb and i have to delete apps just to update everytime.
