Her old one would not allow for email updates whereas the new one has been a perfect replacement. Many thanks to the helpful folks at Best Buy for the needed information provided.

Set up was easy

Just kept the old iPad and the new iPad Air close to each other and everything was set up in under an hour with no confusion nor difficulties. Make sure you have Apple ID password.
