Good iPad, terrible delivery.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, to clarify: I love this iPad. I think it’s absolutely amazing, though I could easily have settled for the 2018 (not that I regret my choice). But the product I was sent was not what it was supposed to be. The iPad I was sent was the right model but in some sort of “demo” mode. I put in my Apple ID right at the start of the set-up and I was taken immediately to some sort of not-fully-functioning version of the iPad, one where features and settings were limited (I couldn’t even set Face ID or a passcode). I could not delete apps nor install them, leaving me with a pretty useless $800 tablet. I may have been sent a product that was not supposed to be delivered to a customer. Two hours (and much research ) later, I hooked it up to a PC to do a factory reset. Which, of course, wasn’t easy to manage, especially on my relatively old laptop that didn’t run the newest version of iTunes. Another hour later, the iPad had reset (finally) and it was working. Though I love the iPad, I don’t love the original product I was given, and I admit I am disappointed in Best Buy because of this.

Overpriced device that failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the iPad Pro because I’ve had good success with a previous iPad and wanted the 2nd gen Apple Pencil. I really liked the device except for it’s inability for multitasking. Almost every time I switched apps, it was like you had to start over as if you were opening the app for the first time. Terrible multitasking. I could live with that but then long web pages and documents started scrolling to top of page by itself. It would also open apps and links by itself. Happened on all apps, browsers, pdf’s, etc. Apple Said it was hardware and would cost over $500 to fix. I was told I should have bought Apple care. Maybe so. But let me get this straight. We pay an exorbitant price to get high quality Apple hardware. And then have to pay even more to insure it keeps working. Not me. I may or may not buy another iPad. But I definitely will not be paying a $1000 (with Apple care) for another iPad Pro. A good case can be made it would be better to buy the cheapest iPad and when the cheesy hardware fails, toss it in the trash and buy another. Also have had a recent issue my iPhone’s battery after the publicized apple’s sabotaged iOS update. Apple’s losing it.
