Summary If you are looking for a tablet with really great specs (best in class), with super-duper speed, and premium grade graphics capability, this is it. Personally, I am a high level tech guy, but I will not go that route. I will go the consumer route regarding how this device worked for me. Device (4/5) The device is metal (recycled aluminum, I know) but it is really well-built. Probably the best when compared with all the other devices in its competitive line. It feels good in the hand and it is NOT that heavy, as many would complain. The screen is a fingerprint magnet, but you can easily wipe it with a 100% cotton clothing/cloth/shirt and you should be good to go. The screen navigation is butter smooth. There will be some learning curve if you came from a iPad with a home button, but this is the price you pay for future tech. Personally, I prefer the TOUCH ID feature rather than FACE ID, but that is just me and I did not deduct any points on that. Next upgrade would be to make a glass back for inductive "wireless" charging. The bezels are noticeable. I can understand that bezels are needed to grip without activating/registering a press, but it does not have a "forehead" for "chin." Another upgrade would to implement TOUCH ID under the glass screen. FACE ID automatically logs you in, but I don't like that. I STILL use the passcode since it does not force/automatically log in of the device. APPS (5/5) Apps run a little slow because it is not currently optimized just yet. It JUST came out, so I can understand. As a tech person, I will not deduct any points because this is not on Apple's plate but on the Developers'. If the coders suck, and MANY are, then the apps/games will suck and will crash. Games run so GOOD. I max out on all graphics capability on games and it is wonderful. 60 frames smooth. There is a difference from previous iterations of this device. The App store can not be beat when compared to any other ecosystem. This IS the Best of the Best. Battery Life (4/5) Battery life is really impressive. For me, once I opened it, the battery was at 97% and I went through the setup, load the backup data, installed all the apps/games, and started to play some games. I got 10 hours out of it before it was at 5%. I watched 1080p vids, shopped on Amazon, played 3D games (majority of the time was spent doing this), listened to songs, and used Safari and Google Chrome browsers. When I charged it, using the charger that came with it, it took less than 2 hours. VERY Impressive. However, you do have to play with the screen brightness levels. Don't full blast the brightness or else, it will get warm and the battery will drain at a more rapid pace. Overall (4.5/5) This device is overall best when compare with others. The size is perfect. Performance is supreme. You will not be disappointed or get buyer's regret upon purchasing this. The accessories are numerous, so you can personalize this device and make it your own.
