This has been an amazing Ipad. 5 years and still running strong. I may upgrade this year and gift to my grandkids, as it is still in Great shape.

The 11-inch iPad Pro from 2018 was a spectacular device. With ProMotion, Apple Pencil support, USB-C port, Face ID, and plenty of updates to iPadOS over the years, this iPad Pro was an excellent investment. Only few knocks against it are the repairability and amount of RAM (4GB). The resale value held beautifully, and is treating the new owner well.

I wish I could take it back. I bought as an open item. I’m regretting it now. Its hard to trust open items from Best Buy now.

Ipad is frozen. Wants password and cant give one. Can't come in to ask for assistance to wipe it clean.

For the past several years, I've been interested in the iPad Pro to use as my primary portable computing device. I bought the 1st generation iPad Pro 12.9" when it came out a few years ago, but at the time it was just too big to be the portable, take anywhere device that I was looking for - and I thought I may as well be using a MacBook at that point. The problem that I found with using laptops is that there's a lot of environments that you really don't want to take them into because it's too obtrusive and cumbersome - such as meetings or reading notes when you're talking to a group. After awhile you just don't feel like taking your laptop because of how heavy and obtrusive it is. While I understand that every person's needs vary, I've been looking for an extremely portable experience while being powerful at the same time. For me, the 11" iPad Pro 256GB checks every box so far. I'm loving the battery life, portability, and TONS of iPad apps. While most reviewers are comparing ways that laptops are faster than this iPad Pro, they don't mention the MANY time saving pros of using the iPad Pro. (and most don't mention the many great shortcuts that you can use if you're using the keyboard) For example - on a traditional laptop, how long does it take you to log into your banking website? On iPad Pro, I simply click the "Capitol One" app, it verifies my face, and I'm right in. I've also found that presenting from Google Slides is actually faster as you can just swipe the bar along the bottom to return to your slide list to present the next one. Also, iPads are connected "more directly" to WIFI, and are constantly being updated in "sleep mode" while using minimal battery to do so, so when you unlock the iPad Pro you're already connected and ready to go instead of waiting for it to connect or having to click on the correct WIFI network again. These are just a few examples, I've found many other time saving use cases using the iPad Pro. In summary, I believe that the argument of whether this can be your primary portable computing device is very similar to the debate when the first iPhone came out and everyone said that it couldn't replace your household digital camera or your music player. 10 years later - who even uses a dedicated digital camera or a dedicated music player? What became clear during that time is that the best digital camera is the one "you have with you wherever you go." The same can be said of this iPad Pro - in my use case it is much better than a laptop because it's so much easier to take it most places that I go. I've been loving it, and would definitely recommend it to those needing a super portable computing device!

I ordered this item in April now the volume does not work. Very disappointed

Excellent device, I've been using it for many years to take notes for university and it works wonderfully.

This iPad Pro is my best study buddy, I finit my degree with millions of papers and notes read and wrote in my iPad Pro. Love it so much still in good shape and functioning well in 2023

Dry pleased with the ease of use and storage space

Nice screen, fast, responsive. Better on a table top than held in the hand. The unit is large and has somewhat sharp edges. Somehat clumsy and heavy to hold as a tablet for reading and browsing. Still, a very nice iPad upgrade.

not ideal for work but good for school. work i recommend just getting the macbook- it’s about the same price. i have had this ipad for about 4 years and it’s still in really good condition

While nicely manufactured and powerful, it's overwhelmingly expensive for what you get as the device, storage, AppleCare, the pencil and protection all jumped in price (and this is coming from someone who's owns or has owned over 8 iPads to date). For most people, it's simply more power than you need. Almost all apps perform great on the original iPad Pro from two years ago. Side-by-side I don't perceive a great boost in performance, even though it's there - iOS apps just don't do a lot of heavy lifting. Additionally, while I like the new pencil and its magnetic charging, it's still just an Apple pencil and drawing feels nearly identical to the original. Finally, the design, it's nice to look at for some, but it feels thicker than all recent models due to the flat sides. It's harder to pick up from a table, and the folio that has replaced the smart cover feels a bit like holding the edges of a license plate, not the most comfortable (and likely the final point that kills it for me.) With this folio on, it's thicker and heavier than the original with smart cover. After a week of trying it out, I'm likely to return everything and wait to see what they do with the iPad (normal) - maybe they'll take a thinner, 'Air' direction with its design.

Awesome tech. Great integration with my iPhone. Love the use with the Apple Pencil. Purchased to replace my laptop and it is great at doing just that. Used for creative purposes (LumaFusion, procreate, Lightroom, etc)
