I've used a few smaller iPads in the past and upgrading to the 13in has been a game changer. It makes the immediate need for a laptop obsolete, and traveling with it has been a breeze.

Easy to set up and use, and the screen quality is very nice. I’d recommend getting a screen protector before doing anything to it as the apple pen can scratch it up.

I recently upgraded to the ipad pro 12.9. Let me say its one of my best purchase this year. So fast and smooth and i even bought the Apple Pencil 2:

I bought the ipad pro 2022 with expectations to learn how to do digital art. I hear a lot of raving reviews about the Apple Appstore exclusive, procreate. There are however a lot of caveats about the apple pencil (I have the gen 2) that people don't often emphasize, which I'd like to highlight in my review since I also have the samsung tab s7+. The Apple Pencil Gen 2 and the iPad does NOT work well with glass screen protectors. I don't care what the product description says on screen protectors; they just suck -- it basically made my quick notes app worthless (every time I tried to write on it, it drew a connecting line from the top left of the screen to wherever i started to draw). I tried restarting, unpairing and repairing the pen, toggling bluetooth -- the only solution that worked was taking my screen protector off. I've seen reviews of using other types of screen protectors like Paperlike, which you'd have to understand will wear down your pencil nibs faster. My other gripe is that quite often the apple pencil doesn't register or do anything, I have to dock it again and undock it from the magnetic side. This may seem insignificant; however, it gets annoying when you have a case on (and why wouldn't you want a case, when you know you can't have a screen protector). I wish it would just simply work. This draws my point to the samsung tab s7+. That is a 2 year old device, and granted, I would say it was the first tablet samsung put out that I would say could compete with the ipads. And it does so quite well. Samsung's had experience with the stylus for many years ahead of apple (because Steve Jobs detested the idea of having a stylus). The functionality of the stylus on the samsung beats the apple pencil by a long shot. It also feels more comfortable to use; however, that's a personal preference that you'd have to try for yourself. For me, the apple pencil just slides around on the slipper glass surface and makes it hard to really control compared to the nicer feeling tip on the S pen. Again, preference. At the end of the day, you pick an iPad over a Samsung if you absolutely must have the Procreate app and value longevity of software support. I believe the S7+ will be supported through 2024, but the S8 and beyond are supposed to get longer product support cycles. The ipad is significantly more expensive and hard to justify.

My third iPad. The quality of the picture, speed, and size is the best I've had to date. I wish the battery life lasted longer.

I bought this new IPad Pro and it replaced my first generation IPad Pro. HUGE difference in speed and picture quality.

Not cheap but a great machine. It actually takes the place of a laptop with the addition of an external keyboard. Apple pen is also a great addition.

This device's performance is amazing! If you are considering the newer iPad Pro, it may be worth purchasing; however, I do not feel the OLED changes and thinner design justified waiting for the M4 model. If you are looking for a high-productivity device with high processing power, this is the one to go with if you want to save a few dollars from the recently announced newest model.

Great screen and great performance but the most important factor are the apps available for ipados.
