I also purchased the Magic Keyboard and the Pencil. I had a hard time choosing between this and a laptop, since she writes a lot of papers for school, but my daughter is artistic and enjoys that the iPad Pro can be both a laptop for school work as well as using the ProCreate app to learn how to create digital artwork. (She usually draws or paints). She of course also loves to FaceTime her friends that have iPhones since I stick with Samsung for cell phones. I decided to set her up her own apple i.d. so I wouldn't have to share my cloud storage with her. Been used every day since Christmas and worked perfectly with no complaints.
