no manual came with system need that info Best Buy told me to download from the internet you pay this much for a computer you should get a manual also

Great, but the computer is not that loud. I dont like the fact that you can only use itunes to download music which cost a dollar a song.

This is my first Mac. I am having some trouble switching from a PC to a Mac. I know I will do better after viewing the tutorials.

I could not figure out how to turn it on! Plus had to buy 3 cameras before found one that would work with it.

Not as user friendly as I would have thought for a Mac. I've used them before and replaced my PC with this and am not really impressed. Use it mostly for internet and graphic manipulation. I did have to return the first one I got; froze multiple times. Second one has been good from that standpoint. Speed leaves something to be desired; both internet and programs. That's compared to my PC. We got a few of the bells and whistles, but I think it's just window dressing. The price is a killer, overpriced for sure. I got less processing speed for three times the price of a PC. It's not the worst computer I've had, but for the price and how everybody said I would love it, it's really disappointing. Wouldn't buy again.

glad i waited for this release with updated speeds

I bought an iMac yesterday and had great expectations from Apple. Right out of the box after registering, it freezed completely and had to do a reset. Again, I was not running lot of apps and was just browsing internet on safari. With in an hour it hanged 4 times. But as the time progressed, it was working fine and didn't had any problems. So I thought it was some sort of minor setup glitch. Today morning, again I opened the Safari (no other apps running) to browse internet and it hanged again. There were total of 3 hangs with in a span of hour. I was pretty sure that there is something wrong with the imac and mostly it has to do with the RAM (may be sensitive to temperature). I guess once enough heat was generated, the RAM were fine. I immediately rushed to best buy to return it and they exchanged with a new one. So the overall one star rating is for such a worst performance from Apple. I wish Apple had done enough testing before putting the product into the market. The new one I got today is so far running fine without any problems. I will write a review on it soon.

After owning several mac products over the years this has definitely been a disappointment. I purchased my new imac approx one week ago and was getting so frustrated when I was accessing the internet because it was soooo slow (even with my ipad right placed beside it was browsing the web quick). After googling the problem I had it seemed as though I was not the only one and this was a problem that many people have been having. I am preparing myself for all the unnecessary work thats to come (buying a new item, transfering all my data and boxing the imac up to return)

2 weeks after purchasing this product it was time to dump the 1000 pictures. First sd card reader did not work. Fine tried to hook up camera nothing. 1 hour w/tech sport, must be my sd card it needs to be formatted. took it in to store geek said it will take 2 to 3 week for repair but it must be my camera,not compatible w/mac. Well after stewing for a day, i returned the iMac to store and drove 50 miles and went to apple store. Guess what sd card works, and camera works. Once my credit card is paid off i am done with this store

Not good for the store in Hyanis Cape cod Ma. They didn't set up the apple like I wanted ie open up in aol. not done i ended up customizing many items myself. I now have 3 apples and love then but not the service i received from best buy. this is my second response of poor service from best buy. i would have thought someone might have responded with an inquiry but nothing ! I would recommend the apple but not the store

I'm probably the only soul on the planet that purchased a brand new, defective iMac. I was really looking forward to making the switch with my PC. I'm thankful that Best Buy gives you a week to return a product. The jury is still out as to whether I want to try again...

It is no different than a Windows PC. It freezes up and you have to turn off the power to reset it. Not what I had been led to believe an Apple product was like.
