Used, not Open Box and Missing Software
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was supposed to have been an Open Box item. It is definitely used and trying to get support has been a nightmare. It is missing standard installed programs, like Pages, Garage Band, etc. It runs slow, which is uncharacteristic for Mac. We had one letter wrong in our email address, (caught it after we placed order) Corrected it, but never received emails to download Apple Care that was purchased, free AppleMusic or Apple News that was to come with computer, etc. Emailed managers, phone calls to Geek Squad, other departments, chats. Multiple disconnects and hours of effort. Going to get backWould like to return it. COVID Nightmare purchase. If I can get anything resolved or exchange this for a PC, I will change this review.

Slooooooww
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is slower than my 2010 Mac. I feel like I downgraded. You can’t even change out the RAM. It’s cool looking but I expected more from Apple. But it’s cool that you can charge the mouse and keyboard.

Not good enough
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen quality was nowhere near as good as the retina screens, and the computer was really slow to start up and open apps due to the slow hard drive. If you buy an iMac, get retina and ssd.

It's a crawler!
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is always getting bogged down, even though I clean it out frequently. Plus, I have had the Geek squad out here to work on it. I am so sick of seeing that spinning wheel and having to restart or shut down.

Time to wait for the M1s
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Best Buy portion of this transaction was great, but the product was not. It was the 2nd iMac I purchased this month (the first was from the Apple Store) and they both sucked. With the M1 chip coming soon, the conspiracy theory part of me is wondering if Apple is slowing the old ones down like seems to happen to my iPhones when a new one is released. I spoke with Apple support on both and they agreed the performance was unacceptable, so I've returned both and will wait until the iMacs with the M1 come later this year.

This computer is a horrible disappointment.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased a 27 " Apple iMac in 2011 or 2012 from Best Buy Vacaville. We loved that computer from day one. On Nov. 25 or so, our printer broke down. We purchased a new Canon Pixma from Best Buy. When it would not pair to my computer , I was told that we must buy a new computer because ours was obsolete. Dec. 1st we purchased this 21.5" iMac . The entire transition has been problematic. The computer is working , but is much slower and less User friendly than our 9 year old 27"iMac. Honestly , I could never recommend this product to anyone.

Horrible
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item is slower than my 12 year old $200.00 Compac Pressario, an absolute embarrassment. Apple should be ashamed of this product. Apple support could not defend it and acknowledged it is garbage!

Incredible value and investment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned macbooks macbook pros and iMacs. I have to say the iMacs are in my opinion, absolutely the best Value of any apple product. My last imac lasted 8 years and had no issues. The value of apple products do not depreciate like other computers. These devices are investments, if you can afford it make the purchase you will have a solid computer, stunning design, tons of compliments and when your ready to upgrade you more than likely will get money back if you try to sell it. These new iMacs are as thin as can be and they got rid of all battery enabled keyboards and mice which is a great! Everything is charged via lightning cable. Best buy had a great black friday deal on this computer and shipping was quick. You can’t go wrong!

Protection plan does not match.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have just purchased my iMac that allegedly included a 6-month protection plan for free. After several unfruitful attempts to install it, I once again read the directions carefully and discovered that this plan is for models issued in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Funny!!! My device model was originally released June 2017!!!!

One of the worst Apple products I have owned
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heed all of the other 1 star reviews. Everything they say is accurate regarding the performance of this computer. It’s odd there is such a spread in opinions regarding this computer. Maybe the had a defective batch or something but my iMac was terrible right out of the box. The last few Apple products I have purchased (iPad, MacBook Air, and now this iMac) have been subpar. I will be going a different direction with future purchases.

good pc
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This iMac is a beautiful and powerful all-in-one desktop. It has a stunning Retina display, a fast and smooth performance, and a sleek design. It comes with macOS Mojave, which offers many useful features and apps. The only drawbacks are the lack of HDMI or DisplayPort outputs, . It is a great choice for Apple fans and creative professionals.

Apple computer
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as one of their open box deals. I was told that it goes through the same checks as a new one does by Geek squad. Day one after all it’s updates and me signing into everything it shut down by itself. I actually visited Geek squad 4 times in 3 weeks. I returned it and got the HP all in one. Not a problem since.

Stopped working after 6 weeks!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It stopped working after 6 weeks, when item was not returnable anymore. Last time I buy a Mac item--since it is not the first time that happens with Macs (in fact, 6 Mac items bought in my life and 4 had issues in less than 6 months)
