Excellent product easy to use easy to install Big screen

Upgrading from a HP Omni, so the expectations would be higher and performance should be better. And it is. I am a basic computer user, and it does exactly what I need at a much faster rate. My older HP was upgraded with 8GB RAM and this Apple is still must faster at processing. For basic computer needs, I couldn't be happier with this entry level Mac.

Clear picture; fast and reliable. Works with my logic x beautifully.

I like the display and the graphics are plenty fast for me as photo editing is the only thing I do that really makes this computer work hard. Since I have other Apple products there are plenty of features that cross over and make this computer easier than ever to work with. The included keyboard is a bit small for my taste but the magic mouse is fine.

Unsatisfied with the speed. When it sits idle for a day or more, it's very slow to startup/wakeup and slow to perform. General performance of tasks does get faster the longer the work session. But, put it to sleep or shut it down and the next day it's slow again. It's almost as though something inside has to "heat up" to speed up. Been like this since day one. I questioned AppleCare about this, thought it might be a refurb. They said no, but they walked me through erasing the hard drive and reinstalling the OS. That improved it, but before long, it was slow again when it was "cold". Having been an assistant in a school tech department, I knew this was not normal for iMacs. It was the last one of the previous year model at all BestBuy stores around my area. Was reduced in price. I'm wondering if a customer bought it, then returned it right away. It was not sold as "open box". I suppose I should have returned it, but I was desperate to get back to work and I couldn't afford the current year's model. Was this a one-off? Dunno.

It is fast, neat, high quality of pictures, sound, elegant looking.

I have the older model of this product and to make sure my parents no longer go through the hardships of dealing with a PC, I got them a MAC

User friendly. Quick and easy. We really like the look of it too.

Purchased base machine w/o Retina display. No matter as I reduced the resolution to enlarge fonts to accommodate my older eyes. Might have preferred a 16gig memory but only 8 was available on the pre-assembled machines on sale. Upgrade not possible later if you need it. Only downside, but likely sufficient for my uses. Looks gorgeous too.

What a great computer! It is so easy to use and very fast!

It is an excellent upgrade to my home computer network. My work requires up to date equipment with reliable internet access and rapid responses. The product delivery was rapid and the setup process went smoothly. Thank you for your consideration of the working-at-home challenges many of us face.
