My first Apple product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After being a Widows guy for more years I care to remember I switched to this Imac. I was so sick of windows with the virus issue that I decided to give this imac a try. What an absolute mistake. I thought imac was supposed to be user friendly. IT AINT! And even the things that I can get to work sxxxxx. I mean whatever happened to a favorites bar. Every time I try to put something in a favorites bar....it dissappears. But at least it makes a wooshing sound so I know it went somewhere And let me give you some further advice. DO NOT GET QUICKEN FOR APPLE. It is horrible. I have had this program for a month and I can't even get it to number the checks properly. I have to edit every time I write a check. Something like check numbering should be a fairly simple task. IT ANT! And it refuses to keep a running total. I have to guess how much money I have. And downloading from your bank is all guess work. just keep hitting buttons till you get it to work. The old days with Windows I could do anything I wanted. Even if I did not know how...it was easy to learn. And Quicken for Windows worked like a dream. It had everything I needed and more. I have a couple of months worth of Quicken checks to write and when they are gone....so is this you know what!!!!!! BRING BACK WINDOWS XP!!!!!!!!!!

My first Mac & I'm liking it so far
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Mac & I was afraid it would be hard to use, i was wrong! Set up was easy, I had a little trouble with iTunes & transferring CD"s I burned but tech support helped me & eventually I figured it out. This is a learning process because there is a difference from a PC but help topics are very easy to find, it syncs with my iPhone, iPod & iPad , which is great, nice big screen & no noisy tower! Has plenty of USB ports & a memory card slot, no DVD burner but I bought an external one which works just fine, my only complaint is that I procrastinated & didn't buy one sooner!

AWESOME
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a Windows user all my life and needed a new desktop to use for office work, email, etc. I am using it at home to do office work when I'm home. I have a Windows PC at my office and am now convinced I will replace it with an iMac when it comes time. The mac was easy to set up (I admit, my 25 yr old son, who lives in FL helped me with the set-up over the phone). I downloaded and installed Microsoft Office, which I use all the time, and was very impressed with how user friendly the system is. This computer came with Yosemite, so I installed all the updates which included the current OS, Capitan. I only used Yosemite the first day I got it, so I really cannot tell any difference, but nonetheless, the OS runs very smoothly. I like that this unit is quad core. I am impressed with the display (HD, not Retina, but sharp, crisp and clear) and how easy it is to use. I hope one day to get an iPad (an iPad Pro would be my first choice when I can save the $$) and look forward to being an Apple customer into the future. I'm certain you would love this product as I do and would highly recommend it.

Amazing..comming from PC
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well it was finally time to get a new computer. I have been only a PC guy for years to come and am also Microsoft Certified for Windows 7/8. I wanted something extremly reliable and still gives me the good ol XP look and feel of ease. After much research and hisitation , due to it being a MAC, I took the dive. All I can say is I am extremly happy with this product. It has turned me into a MAC follower and I will never go back to using Pc and Win 7/8 OS.

Aesthetic design, enough power under the hood
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 6 years of using a 2008 unibody Macbook, I finally decided to upgrade. Since this will not be the only Mac in the house, the bigger screen of the iMac will be perfect for my photo projects. I am not new to the apple eco system. The migration assistant took care of transferring data from Mac to Mac, may take few hours depending on the size but when everything was done and over with, all my data and applications were ready to go in the iMac. The quality of the product and ease of use keep me coming back to apple products.

Best desktop to purchase for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research before I purchased an all in one desktop and I looked at the Dell and the Apple and to have a good size screen in the best resolution and all the best features for the money at the time of purchase this was the best one to purchase and I really enjoy it. It has been very durable and easy for my kids to use that's why I rated it the best computer all in one. I did compare all the best computers that were available and in the end this was the best choice for me and I would recommend it to anyone.

Switched from Windows!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To sum it up quickly, this machine is amazing! I've been using this machine for about 2 weeks and I can't complain about it. The fact that all your components, screen, etc. are all in one spot tidy up the mess of cables I used to have running behind my desk. As of right now, all the computer has is a power cord running to an outlet and it's great having all the extra space underneath the desk. The operating system is great. Moving from Windows Vista on my previous PC, This Operating System is magnificent. Everything works seamlessly and although it is a head scratcher in the beginning trying to figure everything out, it all seems to come naturally after a week or two (It helps i have friends that know all about Macs, too). The screen size is quite a bit larger than my previous monitor, which is a definite plus, however we couldn't fit the 27" model where we wanted to put it due to it's size so we settled for the 21" model. Now to anyone who games out there, (when reading about this computer i didn't notice many posts talking about graphics performance, so here you guys go) the computer seamlessly plays Civilization V on the highest settings. Being from 2011, this game probably wouldn't tax the computer too much but its the only game I've been able to test it with, after the holiday season ill be able to play some more graphics intensive games on it :) At max, i'd bet it could play more modern games at medium or low graphics. The new Quad-Core Intel i5 running at 2.7 GHz is blazing fast and can multitask for days if you need it to. 8 GB of RAM is perfect, if not more than what i need for what i do. Keeps things running smoothly all the time. The amount of storage is massive. I don't know if i could fill up 1TB of space in my lifetime. Now to the negatives. A really big one for me is that when i purchased it from BestBuy, it wasn't pre-loaded with Pages, Keynote, and Numbers (Apple's versions of Word, Powerpoint, and Excel). To be able to get them, you need to go download OS X Mavericks, which is what i planned to do initially, and then you have to go through this process, giving them date of purchase, upload a file of the receipt, etc. Lets just say, i haven't got pages, keynote and numbers yet. Another negative for the product is it's limited compatibility with programs. You're pretty limited in things that have compatibility with Mac, just because Windows-based computers are more widespread than Macs, which is a real shame. Lastly, the price. The computer we purchased was on sale at the time and we were able to buy an open box one, (one someone had returned and Bestbuy reboxed) so the price wasn't too bad .Other than that, i found the computer to be great, doing everything i expected it to do and more! Add on: Keyboard and mouse work great and save space being wireless!

great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm user of both windows and mac, and have to say this machine is just superb. Very easy and pleasing to work with. It's a new computer, so of course it's fast too. I hope it will last several years without giving me any trouble.

Not a great deal!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very unhappy with this purchase. I have called tech support 3x trying to get problems resolved, but they only seem to make the problems worse. After this disappointing purchase, it is highly unlikely that I would ever look at another Mac computer product.

Lied to and conned by the staff
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was promised home setup and transfer of data with a maintenance plan and an additional $90. Wrong. There is an additional charge of $200 to get them to your and then let's talk time and materials. Took the computer and bought at the Apple Store.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's fast, it doesn't crash, easy to use, not affected by viruses. I can't imagine NOT buying a Mac. The sales staff at BB were very helpful and it was a breeze to set up. Love the hi-viz monitor.
