When the newest 5k Retina is not needed, these older 27" iMac's will get the job done. Perfect for home office and light editing jobs, it's been perfect for our "average" use. Built-in speakers are surprisingly loud and overall fan noise is quiet low when on. The included wireless mini-keyboard & mouse are nice as well.

Do you hate to deal with virus protection software of a pc? Currently, I have multiple pc's at my house, and they are driving me crazy since I have young children and they love to surf on the internet. Every now and then the pc's would crash or are really slow due to the virus, etc. Since having this Apple 27" iMac with 8GB Memory-1TB Hard Drive, I have no more worries with my young children getting on the web! I don't have to worry about the virus or the slowness of it starting up, etc. This is a must have with you have young children or older parents who are not very savvy with desktops. Apple desktop turns on instantly and are so easy to use. It is a little pricey, but it is worth every penny.

I absolutely love my iMac. I love the speed and technology. Super fast and efficient. Always have been and always will be an apple buyer.

We received our new 27" iMac desktop in the time-frame indicated. However, once it was set-up and turned on, there were no other instructions other than what came on a mini-Quick-start brochure. After spending over $1500 you would think that the instruction booklet could be designed so that the average person could READ it! The print was so small! And the explanation and examples were hardly readable on 3x5 sheet of fold-out paper! ! C'mon! After shipping a 27" screen you could afford to print instructions to use it on a 8-1/2x11 piece of paper! We have had our iMac for a month and after numerous calls to the help center--which we had to look up ourselves on the internet because there were no Help instructions included, we learned that this "opened-box" product did not come with the main ingredients: Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Garage Band, iphotos or photos! After considerable time on the phone with Apple help, we were able to download them from the internet at no cost, but that was promised to be included with our system and it was NOT. We have yet to have our Mac and IOS devices work together. We have been unable to see all our photos taken on our iphone or with our camera, on our iPad for example. It would be helpful if a task sheet were included in the box to walk us through the simple arrangement of icons and explain the file structure so we could begin using our iMac efficiently. We are not new to computers. No phone numbers, no customer service to call, nothing. Not even an email for Best Buy help --and calling their customer service is a nightmare!. Not a very friendly way of doing business.

I've always trusted a Mac product, and the iMac tops the list. Love the sleek, beautiful and compact design. The screen resolution and HD color make color correction of photos very accurate and easy.

This is my first MAC in over 25 years of PC's of various design and manufacturers, and I now wonder what took so long. The OS is simple and intuitive. The design is sleek and functional. The include apps are useful and easy to master. Really appreciate the wireless keyboard, track pad, etc. Now I need to make the leap from android/google to an Iphone6.

No problems so far. Meets my expectations and looks great! One of the best purchases I have ever made. The larger screen is worth it!

The iMac is much more sophisticated and intuitive to use than a PC, and it is familiar since we have an iphone, ipad, and ipad mini.

First full size Mac in my household. Love the big screen. Only complaint is the little keyboard which is awkward for larger hands.

I have had an iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV for years but never took the leap to iMac or Macbook because of the lack of Bluray capability and the fact have been a PC user my entire life. I needed to update my business computer and chose to purchase this computer because I dislike Windows 8. After the initial 2 weeks of exploration of the app store and getting to know this machine, I know that I wasted years by not converting sooner. Everything my business needs and uses has been made faster and seemingly more stable. Even when my son comes to visit me, it can more than handle entertaining him as I finish my work day. I will forever be looking at the PC world in the rearview.

Just started using it a week ago and it's working great just as recommended. I'm yet to explore all that many features on this apple PC, but it's working fine so far. Love the size of the monitor and the resolution. Wish the keyboard comes in different colors. Migrating files from my windows PC was a breeze.

With my first Mac it takes a 1/3 the time for my morning check in/ups. What was I doing wasting all my time with my old PC. I don't worry about bugs, malware, or spammers. I now have time to read the whole paper not just the headlines. Price was my excuse but with my life back it seems cheap now.

After years of viruses, slow downs, freeze ups, pop ups, advertisements, and the stress that goes along with that, I decided to upgrade to an Apple computer. I was a bit reluctant at first, because of the learning curve. But, I'm retired so I have time to learn. When I plugged it in and logged in, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to operate. I can hardly believe there has not been any issues with this computer after 5 weeks of use. The graphics are outstanding so my photos seem to come to life. I could not be more satisfied with this purchase, except that I didn't do it sooner.
