We just recently purchased the iMac 27" for our home. My husband and I are a musician and an artist, so we knew we wanted an iMac but couldn't decide which one. We called the Richmond, VA store several times and visited to have someone walk us through our decision. The very helpful, Jonathan Fischer, guided us through our options. He explained all the memory and RAM requirements for programs my husband needed to run. And gave us options between the 21" and the 27" with pros and cons to both. As a money cautious wife, he walked me through the best buy for what we needed as a great investment for us both. He got us both extremely excited about the power behind the apple technology to offer us all we need to really increase the quality in both of our work, so we decided on the 27" iMac! I am writing this review from our new computer now and love the speed! The ample screen space to work simultaneously in two programs, for example having Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator open for me or, for my husband, he can open Logic Pro and take notes in Pages at the same time. The screen is beautiful and pixel data is mind-blowing. The speakers are also crisp and loud. We appreciate this product and will always recommend Jonathan Fischer to sell you your new iMac!

Slow to load programs and double the actions to just close them out. The MS office programs suck by comparison to the full MS suite on my Gateway. Spread sheet and Word processors are junior grade attempts at top of the line processing.

I bought this computer to do video editing and listen to music and it has been great. I have even installed virtual box and am running two virtual machines off this computer, One is windows 7 and the other is windows 10. I do not notice any slow down when I have the virtual machine running. I did upgrade my ram from 8 to 16 and have 4 allocated to my VMs.

I truly enjoy my new computer! My son set it up for me but really it was so easy I almost think I could have done it with very little help. It is very user friendly and super fast!! Quality of screen and all aspects of use have won me over!! I do recommend this bigger screen and love all the neat features that I find as I go along on my Apple journey.

I have no complaints about this Mac! The screen size is perfect and everything is what I need for all of my projects!

Since this is not the 5K version of the 27 inch iMac running OS 10, which it comes with, is not the best. When this was available with 10.9 it was better. OS 10.10 will not let me run Aperture in which I have thousands of photos that have been edited. If you are a photographer pay the extra and get the 5K model. I returned this computer in favor of the 5K model. I would not recommend this to a friend of they were a photographer but for most people it is great.

Always like Christmas when we get a new Mac around here. The 27" iMac is stellar in performance and looks, and always gets the job done quickly and efficiently. I would never hesitate to recommend a computer like this to a colleague, friend or family member.

We are very impressed with this computer. This is our first time owning an iMac and we have managed to work our way through the Apple product transition somewhat flawlessly (with the aid of some cheat tools online!). This computer does everything we need it to and more. It is fast and the screen resolution is amazing.

There hasn't been a moment where I have felt regret about my decision to buy this Mac. It does everything I need for both school and work. It is also the center piece of my apple environment, storing all the media I use for my apple TV, iPhones, iPad, and macbook pro.

We've had this computer now for over a year and completely love out mac. We switched from Dell to Apple and will never buy any other product but Apple. Clear pictures, awesome audio, software is awesome! Money was well spent on this product. Very handy for school projects.

I have used PCs my whole life… until yesterday. I needed a new computer to edit photos and videos and also be a quality family computer. This MAC blows any PC I have ever had out of the water looks great and functions even better. Total convert to MAC. The first thing I noticed is the amazing screen and graphics quality. It makes my bad photos look good and there are sooo many free apps to download its great. I was always worried about using PCs at work and coming home to a different set up but when it comes down to it having the mac at home makes it so much more fun to be on the computer. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for high quality computing and easy use

I've had this 27" MAC for a year and can't say enough good about it. The only apps that cause any problems are in the Microsoft Office package. Enough said.

I bought this for my Grandmother and my two elderly Aunts as a Christmas present. They love it! The simplistic desktop menu makes it easy for them to get around and find what they need. Their eyesight isn't great so the large screen is a huge plus for easy viewing. It's a very fast and beautiful machine and I'm thinking about getting another one for my daughter this Christmas.

I recently just finalized my transition from PC to Mac. This iMac in particular took the place of my powerhouse desktop and I haven't looked back since. It's fast, reliable, never freezes, boots up quickly. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. Anything I throw at it, it can handle. Anything from editing 2 hour movies and thousands pictures simultaneously.

From the 27" screen, to the wireless keyboard and mouse, this computer is a thing of beauty. I can't believe the whole computer is in the screen. Where is the big, bulky, noisy box that I have been used to all these years with PCs? Also, everything just works. I know that's Apple's motto, but it's true. Even the wireless printer that I had nothing but problems with works flawlessly with this thing. I have been a pc guys for many years, but always wanted a MAC but was afraid nothing would be comparable and I would have to learn everything all over again. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. My only regret was that I waited so long to make the jump. No more PCs for this guy. Can't wait for the iPhone 6 to make the transition complete. I only gave it a 3 on the value for the price because it was a little more expensive than the ordinary PC, but definitely worth the extra cash.

I love my new iMac. I was kind of skeptical about paying so much [$1799.99] as I have only HP computers in my home but it was well worth the investment. I doubt I'll ever go back.

The reviews of this iMac are true. I used PCs for most of my life and switched to Macs for business and personal reasons about 3 years ago. I would never go back. This iMac is an amazing machine. We run our small business from it. By it, you won't regret it.

We have had quite a few iMacs over the years. This is the most recent and prettiest of them all, with a gorgeous screen, very good processing power and the best and most secure operation system that almost all the software you'll ever need included or you can download what you need for free. Then after a few years when there's a newer and even better model available you sell this one on eBay for a very good price.

Love this over my windows computer. The design is great and picture quality is nice. 5K is better but oh well.
