Beautiful, large screen. Mac OS is the way to go, simple, no major learning curve like Windows 8. Machine starts up quickly and quietly. Easy to connect to Apple's Airport Extreme.

This is my first Imac! having used Windows since forever, it was nice to pull something out of the box, plug it in, turn it on and enter my iCloud account password and i was off and running. (I bought an Ipad 2 years ago and loved it!) it takes a little to get used to how Apple sets stuff up, but once you get a handle on it you are off and running.

I'm a professional photographer, and after much debate and research, I decided to make the switch. For someone who has used strictly PC for my entire life, it was a difficult decision, but a necessary one. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to transition most of my files. That being said, there is still a huge learning curve, but so far I am extremely happy with my decision. Plus, I purchased on tax free weekend while it was on sale and got a pretty sweet deal. My only issue with Mac is the fact that I have to purchase everything separately (CD/DVD drive, extra usb hub, memory card reader, etc.) Other than that, I wouldn't change my decision. If you are using this for video editing, I would suggest the i7 processor and faster graphics card, but for photography, this puppy is all you need.

I love the size of the screen. I'm still learning and, so far, the learning is easy. Once I learn to use iTunes and Dragon Dictate, I will be an even happier camper. I keep getting side-tracked by all this computer offers. It's taking longer than I thought it would to transfer my music. And I still need lots of time for my voice to be easily recognized.

Fast and cool computer. Runs smoothly and quick start and shutdown. As expected quality from Apple. You can use this as external monitor. Reason I didn't buy 5K imac is that it can't be used as external monitor. After couple of years of usage if you don't have much performance from it, you can still connect to different computer as external monitor.

It has met and exceeded my expectations. The 27" screen is amazing. It was exceptionally easy to setup...within 20 min I went through the setup process...very simple...downloaded all my contacts and calendar from the cloud and setup 3 email accounts. It would have taken considerable more time to setup a PC? The computer is fast! Love it!!!

I was not sure I wanted a desktop computer. Since I do not have a TV I though I might use this to watch videos on YouTube and movies I downloaded. This unit is fantastic!!! The screen is beautiful and the computing power is incredible and is also blazing fast. It was incredibly easy to set up, but I kind of expected that since it is a Mac.

When the older HP Pavillion gave up the ghost...we had to look for a replacement. We've always owned PC's...and naturally thought in the same direction. After talking it out with our sales-person we decided to try an i-Mac. Brought it home and right away the groans and resistance from our three teenage gamer boys started. We asked them to hold the judgement until it was at least out of the box. Within an hour they were amazed at the speed...ease of use...and remarkable display. All of our old files were loaded into the i-Mac by Best Buy (additional charge)...and work fine. Very happy...and not looking back...!

I love this computer. It's fast, the screen resolution is very good and excellent audio and very easy to carry and what I like is that you do not need so many cables.

I purchased this computer for my family for internet use, email, and lite gaming for the kids. They play mostly web based games and games from the App Store. This is the 2nd computer in my home. We also have a windows machine that I use for both business and personal hobbies and interests. It took a few days to get adjusted to the MAC OS and Apple echo-system. Once I did I was fine. I've learned to embrace both OS and now I have the best of both worlds. This is a great computer and I'm sure I haven't even touched the surface of everything it can do. All in all a good purchase. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey, however I feel it was a good buy.

Absolutely love it, would not trade for any other PC.

I bought this 27in iMac to replace a 24in iMac I bought in 2008. I had a great experience with my old iMac so I decided to stick with Apple. It was very easy using Time Machine to transfer all my data to the new iMac. Within about 4-5 hours all my data was transferred and I was using the new iMac exactly like the old one.

My wife's computer died and we needed a new one for her job as a Realtor. She had never used a Mac before and relies on me for many technical things. I switched to Mac about a year ago and love it. Even though Mac is different from Windows it was very easy for my wife to adapt. The new IMac is great for her and she loves it.
