Absolutely the finest computer in price, looks and performance. Its fast, its sexy and its all mine! My Salesman was really into the purchase experience, very helpful in getting a student code discount entered into the deal. The setup took all of five minutes, the speed is 3.2Hz and the retina screen is 27in of WOW! The price was made extremely competitive with online and advertised models (late 2015). Get One and BE HAPPY!

The display on this is large and clear, and the speed is impressive. Moves seamlessly through tasks. Even the speakers are good for a computer’s speakers. It comes with the wireless keyboard and wireless mouse pre-configured for this computer. I have never owned an all in one machine before and I was afraid I might not like how limiting it is to be unable to open the box, but there are enough ways to transfer data to peripherals and the display is so lovely that I can’t imagine what I would need to install anyway. I do wish it came with an HDMI outlet; in spite of the large display, my TV is much larger. Airdrop to and from my iPhone and iPad to this iMac is fast and reliable. I saved 10% for my birthday through My Best Buy membership, which is rare for buying an Apple product.

    Fantastic Machine

This is a fantastic machine. The screen is enormous which makes graphics creation and digital editing fun and easy. The dedicated video ram is helpful also. Unlike my MacBook - which is also fantastic in its own way - this iMac desktop machine has a terabyte hard drive for storing all the stuff that won't fit on the laptop's 128gb SSD. Some like to compare Apple's to Windows PC's - there is really no comparison. The hardware in many Windows based machines is great, however Windows 10 and 8 before it are the clunkiest, slowest, most infuriating operating systems in the history of computer technology. There are so many unnecessary background processes going on that you have to use 16GB of RAM in a Windows unit to even feel like its as fast as a system from 2009 with a dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. Even with a 4.0ghz i5 processor and 8GB of RAM and 2GB of Video RAM I have endless crashes and slow downs on my Windows desktop. Even if you spend a comparable amount of $ you still won't be happier than if you get a Mac. The Mac operating system is stable and easy to use. Sure - you can mistreat a Mac or leave it on too long and it'll get a bit slow - fine - restart it and you're off to the races again. Another thing - if you're done with a program - don't just close the window - Exit the program so you don't clutter it unnecessarily with lots of stuff open and you'll see a real difference in how long it takes for your Mac to get slow and need a restart. Another thing that Mac does better than Windows - all Mac computers, phones and tablets come with iWork which includes word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software for free. They're called Pages, Numbers and Keynote. iWork programs can read Microsoft office documents just fine and give you the ability to save your documents In the proprietary format, as a MS Office document like .docx, and the ability to save your creations as PDF's. Theres no need for additional software! I use Adobe Creative Cloud apps on both Mac and Windows and have never had the endless issues on Mac that I experience on PC. Just crashing and freezing - but when you are trying to get stuff done you want your computer to be reliable. People tell me all the time "I don't use my computer for much, just email and Facebook." Yeah right - every one of those people was using email, Facebook, searching on Amazon, etc all at the same time - though you're just using multiple browser tabs that still qualifies as multitasking. For multitasking Apple computers are king. The keyboard, though small - is nice and easy to use, the Magic Mouse II is awesome because you can scrolll by rubbing your fingers on the slick top of the mouse. I also use the Magic Trackpad II which makes editing very nice and helps mitigate the extreme movements I must make with the mouse when I'm trying to move the pointer from one end of this 27" screen to another. All the accessories are rechargeable - lightening cable - now too! No more searching for batteries. The charge lasts a long time too. One last point about this particular unit - I meticulously researched the different iMac models to ensure I was getting one that could be upgraded later. I just wanted the option to add more RAM (memory) at a later date and the 27" models usually have that option. I used Apple's website to find a model comparison page that listed which year and which models had the little openable bay on the back for adding extra RAM. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to everyone.

I love this computer. I am not that knowledgeable about computers but this is extremely easy to use and it's extremely fast and I learned it with minimaldifficulty . I am sure there are many functions I have yet to learn because I am continuously learning new things every day that this computer can do . This is my first Mac and I am loving it. It takes a little practice getting used to it instead of a Windows computer but it really isn't that much different. Compared to Windows, this computer is much faster and runs more smoothly too. I would recommend the switch to anyone on the fence about it.

I've always used Windows based PC's, so this is my first Apple product. I love it, very fast, quick response even with several programs open. The resolution on the screen is remarkable. I do a lot of phot editing and it has made my life easier.

I bought the mid-range 27" model with the 1 TB fusion drive. Definitely get the fusion drive, it speeds things up, and you'll avoid the Spinning Beach Ball of Death. I previously had a 30" Cinema Display (which Apple no longer makes), so this was my choice for a larger display. Loving it.

I waited until Apple did a refresh of the processors. I understand that it is faster than the older generation model (even though it runs @ 3.2) because of the new chips. Beautiful screen, fast boot up with the Fusion Drive. Above all, seamless continuity with iPhones and iPads in family.

This is one amazing product from Apple. The upgraded line of iMac is one amazing upgrade that has been done by the company. Fusion Drive is awesome and the screen is humongous as mentioned by Apple itself. For anyone who is a OS X enthusiast and who loves Apple - a must buy for them!

This is easily the best computer I have owned. My previous computer was a 24" iMac. The new one blows the old one away. Great display and speed. The only downfall is that there is no disk drive but all Apple products are that way now. This machine is definitely powerful enough to handle programs for my GoPro and DSLR camera. I would definitely buy again.

Replaced an 8 year old iMac. The Retina display is beautiful, and the Fusion drive works well (surprising, given the small SSD in the 1 GB drive). Everything, especially video processing, is much faster. I'm not a big fan of the new mouse, and the keyboard arrow keys take some getting used to (small & very close together). Nonetheless, a great computer!

I bought this awesome computer for the sole purpose to edit videos. The 27-inch screen provides a roomy digital workspace, unlike any laptop. It's great for multitasking. The processing power is pretty decent, too. When I export completed videos, this iMac does it pretty quickly. I have yet to add extra memory and a selling point for me was that I am able to install it with ease when the time comes. I'm sure I'll be even more pleased with the speed when I do so. The Retina 5K display is awesome and super vivid. I will eventually be shooting and editing in 4K and I'm glad that this model is compatible. I've used this for over a month now and I'm 100 percent satisfied. I'm a fan of Apple computers and laptops, but iPhones need to step up their game.

This was such a great buy! I needed a new computer for school and this iMac fit the bill! It's fast, the display is brilliant and so far, I have no complaints! The only downside was the actual experience of buying it from the Best Buy in Kenosha, WI--one of the "section leaders" or whatever it is they're called, was unprofessional and argumentative. It took away from my buying experience. I'd recommend this to a friend--but maybe avoid the store in Kenosha.

I decided to buy a Mac after my last Windows PC crashed and burned after just shy of 4 years. The Dell I had prior to that was about the same, and the one before that, and the one before that, etc. I was so fed up and tired of all of the problems and issues that come with anything Windows-based; I mean, if you click 'print' to print something, it should PRINT. You shouldn't have to constantly install drivers and remove/reinstall printers every time you want to print something, yet this was standard on my PC. You shouldn't have to disconnect/reconnect to wifi every time after your laptop goes to sleep, yet this was routine for my Toshiba. After having an iPhone for two years prior and never having one problem with it, I decided to purchase an iPad Pro a year ago just so I could use the internet without having to start up my computer or laptop and wait...wait...wait while it decided if it was having a good day or not. I discovered very quickly that the iPad did way more than I thought it could and it soon replaced both the computer and laptop. Just recently, I started an at-home job that required me to purchase a desktop, and it was really a no-brainer on what kind I would buy. Best Buy had the best price around on iMacs and this one was in stock at my store. I got it home, plugged it in, went through the standard 5 minute setup on any Apple product, and it's been going great ever since. (I did have an issue with my U-verse wifi going out repeatedly after I got the iMac--turned out to be an IPv4 vs IPv6 issue that just required me to change a setting on the iMac. AT&T wanted to send a technician out for $99 but google helped me for free!) It has a beautiful design (just one piece with ONLY ONE CORD--imagine that!!!), clean lines, paired seamlessly with my iPhone and iPad, and it actually PRINTS when you hit 'print.' Just like that. It still surprises me every time I print something, like I'm constantly waiting for an error message or something. And there are probably a million other things this machine can do that I will never use, but for everything I've thrown at it so far, it hasn't missed a beat. Just like on my iPad and iPhone, I can have 10 different internet tabs open, 5 apps running, texting and talking, and it never slows down and definitely never crashes. These are the kinds of things that are important to me and make it worth paying double or even triple the price of a PC. There is definitely a learning curve included with this machine if you've only ever used Windows-based computers. Even after having the iPhone and iPad (the iMac has a completely different iOS), it has taken some getting used to to operate and I still find myself trying to use Windows commands often, but I am slowly getting out of that habit. And I had one really frustrating issue while working where I was trying to import some CSV files into QuickBooks from Excel and nothing I tried would work; after about 4 hours I was about to give up, but as a last resort I tried using Numbers instead, and the files imported on the first try with no issues. So much for that free year of Office I got when I bought this lol! The Apple office apps will now be my go-to programs from here on out. And now I'm tempted to just delete all the Microsoft Office stuff for fear it will eventually poison my lovely Apple products! All in all, this is a great machine and I'm hoping to have it for many years. Literally, the only con I can come up with is that I had to purchase a numeric keypad separately (which Apple does not make, btw) because the magic keyboard doesn't have one and it is almost impossible to do my job without one (I do Accounting). This is not reason enough for me to deduct a star though because every thing else is just as perfect as it could be. There is simply no comparison out there to this machine or Apple products in general (it makes me chuckle to myself when I hear people talk about how much better their Galaxy is than an iPhone or how their Surface or whatever is the best. Um, no. It's not. And we both know it.) I am an Apple customer for life as long as they continue making products of this caliber and hopefully one day the prices will be affordable for everyone so that we can all experience the difference quality can make.

I am so pleased with my mac. The ease of using any apple product is a plus but the screen size, the speed and the sleekness cannot be compared to. If you use a home computer for any reason I would recommend a Mac over any PC out there.
