The 5k screen is great. The fusion drive is a little on the small size with the 1TB option but I have external thunderbolt drives so it was not a huge concern. The price was lower than Apple so it was a great deal.

I was really skeptical about switching from a PC to a Mac and so very glad I did. This computer requires no learning curve and was easy to set up so that the system was plug and play straight out of the box.

Undoubtedly there are a number of favorable reviews highlighting the strengths of the newest iMac. I would be inclined to agree with them. However, I've experienced two annoyances, one which persists. The first has to do with converting iPhotos to Photos. The application stopped near the end and would not complete the process. Online research helped me find the fix. The more critical one has to do with boot up. The second time I started up the iMac it went to a black screen. Found a website that described different ways to solve it. Had to try all three before the most complex solution worked. Every other time I start up it will go to the black screen again, though I am now able to resolve with a simpler solution. Overall, I enjoy the iMac experience, but recommend having other ways to access the internet should problems similar to those I've described occur. Would recommend this iMac only to the more tech savvy users. Novice users would be totally frustrated with an experience similar to mine.

I'm a first time Mac owner, and decided to go with iMac because all my other devices are Apple. I couldn't be happier! It's fast, and does exactly what I need it to. My son loves the resume builder on it!

This is my first Mac after many PC units and I have to say I'm very happy.also takes up very little space,beautiful resolution and no viruses to worry about so no software to bog you down,very satisfied

The mac is awesome. I've never owned one before and have always been a pc user. Not anymore. The display is amazing and it is very fast. Love the wireless keyboard and magic mouse. Highly recommend this mac.

I use this computer primarily for photo management and it is perfect! The picture is amazing and the photo software is great for organizing and managing my pictures - I also love the face tagging feature.

This was a replacement computer for me and my husband and it is excellent for both of are uses. We use it for pleasure and for professional purposes. The speed and clarity is amazing. I highly recommend.

Went to Best Buy to look at computers and luckily got the most knowledgeable salesman ever. He gave his recommendations per what I needed the computer for. Love the iMac and glad I made this choice.

I'm switching from PC to IMac. I love the size of the screen and quality of the images. The ability to sync my iPad and phone all in one place is great!

Very happy with how easy it was to plug in my backup drive and everything loaded. Love how light weight it is which made it also easy for me to setup in the office.

The machine is elegant (as expected) and the display is stunning. iMac 5K comes in 3 variants with different specs and this is the middle of the range. In my opinion, this variant is not spec'd to satisfaction. 1. The hard disk: this variant comes with 1.02TB fusion drive, which is actually a combo of a 1TB hard disk (spinning) and a 24GB SSD. This is not a typo, it comes with only 24GB SSD. An year old model came with 128GB SSD with a 1TB hard disk. This year, only the top line model of iMac comes with 128GB SSD (as part of fusion). 2. M390 GPU is not powerful enough if you want to fully leverage the 5K display e.g. play games and/or edit videos etc. Again, the top of the line model again comes with M395 and M395X which are much better than what this model has. Also, the GPUs are not upgradable after market, as they are soldered to the board. My suggestion is to go with top spec'd model of iMac if you want to use the device for anything more than casual work, but then again as with all things Apple you will have to pay a hefty premium to upgrade.

my imac 24" 2007 died on graphic card i need to upgrade its time was passing so i decide to get 5K then i checked internet specials from magazines etc ends up best buy was the top deal for me with $300 off total plus 12 months no interest i mean it it was a best buy..P.S my cousin got the same and he try return to place then with deny or restocking fee he called the credit card company they help him with price mach program at least price helped him too he said i will do the best buy first this is second time they are cheaper then apple that is story tells itself

Using this to do audio recording. So far it has been easy to integrate outboard devises. Picture quality is terrific. I have always been a PC guy. Probably stay with Mac from here out.. Great machine
