I absolutely love Apple products and desperately need a new computer. Just trying to make the right decision for my budget.

Love my apple products. Was a MacBook user but this desktop is the best.

I have owned Apple products since the IIe came out. The picture and sound of my new iMac are outstanding. The syncing of my iPhone and iPad with the new iMac is a real plus too. All around I’m very pleased with the purchase - especially since was on sale - didn’t know that ever happened with Apple computers.

This type was our first Apple purchase. It has performed well and still running smoothly after four years. We added our own external hard drive as back-up. We do have a hard time locating saved items, but security hasn't been an issue like Microsoft programming.

You have to love the 5K screen. This is a very powerful machine capable of many tasks. It’s elevated my content creating.

I bought it specifically for music production (LogicPro) but wish I hadn't. This is my first Mac since abandoning the platform in 1997. Too expensive for the specs it offers, too few USB/lightning ports especially considering that there are no other audio or video connections, placement of ports on the back is awful if you have no rear access, mediocre speaker quality, a ridiculously wide bezel, if you have a second screen, you have at least 1 inch in between the two screens, the touch-sensitive mouse is difficult to control, the OS is in many ways not intuitive to navigate, default security settings make software installation a pain, I could go on. Strong features: Good customer support (I needed it more than for any other PC before), quiet--no fan, nice screen resolution, fast, lightning connection, apparently good built quality. But the cons outweigh the pros.

Unless you need apple products, avoid buying this. 8gb ram is unheard of in any modern productivity computers, yet is the standard in these ‘premium’ products. You could build a pc with considerably better specs for better performance all around, plus buy a 4k monitor for $800. You are paying a premium solely for the apple brand.
