I've never had a problem with Apple brand cables, but they are a bit more expensive.

My son has an iPhone 5s that he's had for about 18 months. For whatever reason, his phone rarely charged with just any "lightning" charger made to fit the iPhone, so I decided to buy a new Apple charger. It was more expensive than the off brand or Best Buy brand but I feel more comfortable when he's away from home and needs to keep his phone charged. It works perfectly and I'd recommend it to anyone who may have an older iPhone and has had any trouble holding a charge (phone even has a new battery and still had trouble charging). Thanks, Apple and thanks, Best Buy for having it in stock!

this lighting cable is durable and trustworthy. Only gripe is that it could be cheaper.

This is always the case with Apple products. I have purchased several different brand chargers for iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and none of them compare to the quality of a true Apple product. Always work, charge and seem to last better than an imitation or off brand.

I recently went to the Best Buy store and I found this cable that was in discount and I did not want to lose the opportunity To Get a emergency Usb conector the one I have is more than a year and continues to work as new and I would buy again

I bought a charger for my Iphone made by another company. Unlike the Apple connector which charges on both sides, the one I bought only charges on one side. So if I'm in a hurry or tired and put the charger in the phone upside down, the phone won't charge. The Apple charger is much better but I wish its products weren't so expensive--and that's why I gave it four instead of five stars

Always good to have an Apple approved cord. I have used an off brand cord before & it just doesn't seem to hold a charge as long & charging seems to take longer. Not a problem with this cord. You may have to pay a few dollars more but it pays off in time & convenience.

I bought a few cheap eBay chargers. They work for a month and then they just die. Buy the apple certified. They charge almost twice as fast and last forever.

I have used several other thunderbolt cables and they always either go bad or cause problems with the phone. It's worth the few extra dollars to buy Apple and know it is going to work in the long run. Now, if they would only create a " find my cable" app :-)

Not too much to say about this. It is a USB to Lightning cable that performs exactly as it should and costs less than an official Apple cable. Doesn't seem to be any better or worse quality than the Apple model. Other than the branding on it I have a hard time telling the difference. Would be nice to reinforce the ends a bit where the Apple cables are known to fray from pulling on them.

The name brand iPhone charging cords are the way to go. They work best. Unfortunately, someone else liked it so much THEY STOLE IT FROM ME! So, for the few days I had it, I loved it. Gotta buy a new one now. Wonder where I can get one??

I had bought some knock offs cable to charge my iPhone and never again. They may be cheap but they frayed off easily that I would need to buy another one again which can add up. Using an original Apple product is actually more cost effective and it does last long.

I tried to save money and purchased imitation cables for charging my iPhone at gas stations and flea markets. Sadly they failed and did not charge my phone. After much jiggling and frustration I learned my lesson. Get the iPhone cable!

I have purchased many cable chargers in different stores and after awhile, they do not work because APPLE cables are very proprietary.I strongly recommend people to purchase APPLE cables. They are a little more expansive than other but they do work forever.

I've had mixed success with non-Apple cables, including the braided off-brand I bought before this one that wouldn't show any evidence it was plugged into multiple power bricks. Exchanged that for the real deal and have had no problems.

We have purchased several of the less-expensive cords in the past and they are not charging the phone the way the actual Apple cords work. I have not figured out the problem as of yet, but there is definitely a strong difference when I am using a generic.

When you need a new cable for your iPhone don’t skimp, get the real deal and charge your phone quickly and safely with a real Apple approved cable! Don’t go on the cheap and buy a funny flea market brand ! I am one satisfied customer.

I purchased this cord from Best Buy to have an extra cable in my car so I don’t have to remember to carry one with me when I leave the house. This way, no matter where I go, I won’t be without a cord for charging my iPhone. I’ll defintely be purchasing more of these Certified Apple cords in the near future to have at work, spouses car, bedroom, kitchen, and for my kids. I’m very happy with this purchase and the level of comfort that it will provide for me in the future.

The Apple branded ones just seem to work better. They do have tendency to dry and crack if not careful with them after a year or two but all of the third party ones I’ve purchased, while they may last longer give me charging issues.

Works well, long lasting. Cheap cords do not last and are not compatible. The apple product is made for the iPhone and is the one that should be used
