So, far so good. We had order some generic brand from an Internet site and the metal pin broke off with in 2 days. So, we went back to the name brand and bought live and in person. Been GREEAT SINCE! :-)

My iPhone chargers seem to have short lifespans for some reason. But I've had this since August and it still works fine. I haven't noticed any exposed wiring around the base of the lightning either.

I've always had trouble with lightning cables made by other manufacturers -- I know that's probably what Apple had in mind when they went with the new design but the Apple brand cables are a good deal.

Has a great quality even though I think they are priced too high. Would much rather buy a non apple product however those stop working with my phone after a few weeks. Don't have that issue with this product.

Buying an Apple cord is the best thing to do compared to the other generic brands. I had bought a generic one at Walgreens and they always stop working shortly after you get them.

Cable is the same as the one that came with my son's Ipod from Apple. Needed to replace the original that was lost on a school field trip. Very pleased that we did not have to get an aftermarket brand.

I had a $5 reward certificate and combined with a sale price this was a great buy. I always try to have at least one extra cable/cord for my phone and this opportunity to purchase filled the need.

Having tried third party cables, most either don't fit properly, won't work with a case, or the cover comes loose. Apple cables have held up reliably and I've not had to replace a single one of them.

The off brand stuff may not work at all or stop working in a short time. These cords from Apple seem to work for a very long time. Don’t waste your money on off brand stuff.

Works great. Charges my ipod quickly and had a long wire so I can plug it in far away. I can use my device while it's charging and my device charges quickly. The wire is very durable and was a great price.

I only purchase Apple Chargers for my families iPhones, anything else is cheap and junk.. Love that Best Buy sells them, so convenient for me instead of going to the Apple Store

I've tried so many other kinds of "certified" lightning cable and really, nothing compares to the original equipment. 5 stars because of the cheaper price than when you buy it at an Apple store.

When I have to replace my Apple USB cord I only purchase Apple products now because other-branded cords tend to cause my phone to overheat, or don't charge it at all. This one always works perfectly.

I bought this charging cable because i vacuumed my other one up in the vacuum cleaner, and this charging cable works better then any other brand i have gotten. No problems with it what so ever.

The cord that came with my phone three years ago finally broke after all the use and abuse I put it through. I considered buying a cheap knockoff but in the long run this is more cost effective!

This is the standard Apple charger cable...short in length, flimsy cable, and slightly over priced. Having said all that you are simply better off buying the Apple brand cable to avoid the annoying accessory compatibility error messages.

Replaced my original Lightning Cord. I recommend only using Apple Lightning cord for iPhones because the other brands work, but only for a short while then stop working for unknown reasons.

I've tried other brands of charging cords for my iPhone, but they always break within a few months. Can't beat the original Apple charging cord. Costs a little bit more but lasts MUCH longer!!

Charges way faster than generic brands and is more effective at allowing a true charge to the unit rather than a slow trickle charge u get a strong dependable application.

Love it. My original broke. Works well. Only problem is when you pull the charger out of the phone, the place where you grip wears and thus is the reason I needed a new one. The wires inside come lose. They have made the second cable a bit stronger at the base so we shall see how long it lasts
