    Like the USB power adapter, why can’t this be made to be a little more durable? For what it must cost to produce vs retail price, I’d appreciate seeing a little better quality and durability from Apple. Seems like my 18 year old daughter burns through a few of these a year.

    This is not the fault of Best Buy at all. Clearly, these Apple cords are just crummy......especially considering the high price to buy one. Apple should stop "sticking it" to their loyal customers. I am not tough on my cords and for it to deteriorate within 6 months is unforgivable.
