The cord is pretty good, it's very long so if you don't need the length it's a hassle. It started to fray at the end closest to the USB connector after a year.

It works, doesn’t last forever. I don’t think any of these chargers do. This one lasted almost a year before the connector became loose.

Apple has people over a barrel. If you use a non-Apple product to charge your phone, you run the risk of damage to your phone. Yet the (expensive) cords they sell for charging phones don't last very long at all. I'm quite tired of buying these as often as I have to. This has nothing to do with Best Buy. Best Buy is fine--my unhappiness is with the Apple product itself. Planned obsolescence. Welcome to capitalist America.

This is my wife's third cable in the last 2 years. I'm not sure what the issue is with these, but Q&A seems to be a problem.

Bought the wrong power cord for an IPad first generation. Returned it bought the correct one for a gift. Probably works greT for the right IPAD.

It works for it's intended purposed. I can't complain much. They just don't last too long with daily use. Maybe a year.

Just 1 year after purchase, the cable started to fail when charging. I noticed some wear by the edge. Was trashed just after.

This is a cheap 5.00 cord that stops working after a couple of months. The cable is defective. Just buy from apple. Takes a long time to charge.

Unfortunately, apple makes the best cables to their devices and well all have to pay the brand name tax. The cord did what it was supposed to.

I bought this cord because honestly it was two dollars cheaper than the shorter one and now I know why . It’s ridiculously long . It works though.

I know we all go through the pain of 3ft limitations but this wire is not the answer. Id recommend going to the dollar store for an extension

This is a standard replacement cord to charge an ipad. The length, however, is much longer than the original and more than I need. Save money and purchase a shorter cord.

Is it worth it to spend premium on this OEM product? I'd say NO. The reason: As costly as this is, the cable is poorly constructed. It is prone to twisting and tangling and there in lies the problem. Constant untangling of this cable will result in kinks, tears and breaks. The cable that came with my Iphone suffered this fate. Thinking it was just a cheap cable that came with the product, I sprung for the Apple cable . It suffered the same fate for the same reason. Mine lasted about a month because I kept it in my car and it couldn't handle high use abuse. My recommendation: Buy a quality BRAIDED cable that is tangle proof and made of stronger material. It will cost about the same as this and will last much longer.

The Apple cords seem to work best with iPhones, but always break down after about a year of steady use.

It’s ok, charger word and tore pretty quickly. The material is not thick enough but good price for the charger.

I JUST passed the return date by 10 days and the charger spontaneously stopped working. I’ve had it for only 2.5 months so there’s not much wear and tear on it. There are absolutely no frayed wires and no breaks in the cord. I’m not looking forward to going all the way to an Apple store to get this replaced, but there’s no way I’m paying another $30 for an inferior charger

This is the third charging cord I have bought. I hope this one works longer than the other two did.

Falling apart! Not strong enough. The size is long and I like it. Otherwise not durable. Need another replacement
