    The phone should come with a standard USB to Lightning cable versus the USB C to Lightning which I had to buy a charger in order to use.

    Apple certified cables act best with IPad charging circuits while non-certified cables can cause lower charging currents. Unfortunately Apple cables are not as rugged as other brands.
