    Although there are many cords, Apple makes the only one to fit inside a Lifeproof case.

    I bought this cable to replace another brand name cable that was worthless (for lack of a better word). Out of the box it worked great, extra length over the standard cable provided portability while charging. Over the last couple of days it will either not work or start to charge the phone but then stop charging abruptly. We've tried several different outlets in the house, all with the same result. I'm not sure if it's just a faulty cable but now I don't know which brand to buy seeing that I spent a little extra this time around to buy an Apple specific product.
