It's a cable. It charges just as intended. I've used this in my truck and at the office and for hotel stays. Couldn't really ask for more, except maybe a black cable from Apple.

I bought these original Apple Lightning cable as I was fed up with the third party cables, which either do not last long or will not charge properly.

It's never a bad thing to have more slack for your charger. Has helped me have more flexibility while charging.

Well, it’s an Apple phone cord. Nothing special about it except maybe it feels more quality but that’s what you pay for with Apple products.
