I got this item cause I have a Lifeproof case for my iPhone 6+ and after-market cables will not work with that Lifeproof case. works well. I use it at work and at home.

when using lightning cables i always use apple branded because they last a long time for and they are not thick and not too thin

Having 2 extra feet is wonderful. Still charges fast. I actually purchased several so have one in different places, no looking for a cable when need one.
