    Try as I might to get away with cheaper products, they inevitably stop working after a few months. The Apple products last a long time.

    The original wire is too short so I bought a longer one and it has worked well for me. You can use it while it's being charged without having to sit next to the wall.

    Generic cables don’t seem to last very long, and new iPads will not always charge with the generic since ios11... Apple product is a better buy

    This is a great charger. The longer cord means I can plug it in basically anywhere and have my phone near me. I would recommend spending the extra money on the length.
