    This is a charger cord and does the job well. Its predecessor lasted several years but the cords wear out and can become an electrical hazard.

    I have resorted to only buying apple products. Other knock-off brands do not last and you end up replacing them. It is worth it to pay a little extra in the beginning.

    The cords that come with Apple products suck because they are only 3 feet. That is why I bought the 6 foot, just nice to have the extra length.
