    Love this Apple cord, but over time it always starts breaking near the plug area. Wish they ups use harder plastic near the plug to reduce breakage. I buy at least two per year and they are not cheap

    My iPhone 6+ requires an Apple charger as I get error messages when attempting to use a nonApple cable for charging. As usual this cable started to crack/wear at the end that attaches to the phone. Apple doesn’t seem to use quality in their cables...probably built in obsolescence so you have to keep buying them. I put tape around the cable so I can get a little more use out of it. If it was merely plugged in with no use of the phone while charging, it would probably last longer...but I use my phone and it no longer holds a charge too long so I keep it plugged in while using it.
