These cords from Apple are a necessary accessory, however they never last long. This is a replacement to one I had and many of these either fray at the end or they simply stop working. The one I had just stopped charging and I was surprised as it was not frayed. A previous one I had was frayed and when I took it to the Apple store they said you have to bring it in before it frays. Yesterday I went to the Apple store with the non-working non-frayed cord and they said they wouldn’t replace it. Just don’t expect these to last long. The after market cords aren’t much better.

Nothing like buying the original part. That way you know everything is working like it was meant to

It appears to me that Apple makes their charging cords designed purposely to fail. I go through one every couple of months. They all break at the same place, the same way, and each lasts about the same length of time. Seriously, Apple. You need to get your act together, I mean, go ahead and design a super techno camera and other impressive whizgizmos on your phones, but could you perhaps quit financing those things on making such crappy charging cords?

I thought having a longer cord would be great but the beginning end of the cord the one that goes into the iPhone part has started to bend and is breaking apart. I’ve only had it 5-6 months . That cord was expensiveee

It has a great mat feel to it and it charges. Basically, it's exactly what you expect it to be.

I bought this cable so I’d be use my phone while charging it and it has been amazing to do so.

The cords shred every time .. they constantly split and for the price Apple needs to improve o. This. I’m sure they can make a cord that doesn’t split.

Well if they charging cables lasted longer we wouldn’t have to buy these so often. Apple really needs to make a cable that doesn’t fray so easily. That unfortunately cuts into their profits so it won’t happen.

It is nice and functional. Too bad other manufacturers stuff doesn’t work on Apple products

I love the length on the cord, it makes it so you don’t have to be right next to an outlet.

Quality of these stink but they are required. The cables always go bad wayyyyyyyyyy toooooo fast, however, they are still way better than other brands.

Why do my Apple vinyl cables always split at the connection point? I am very careful how I insert and remove the cable tip. This one barely lasted six months before bare wires exposed; I'm going to try a braided cord next.

i have gone through about 8 of these cables . they don't last long and break very easily.I try to get my daughter to try one of the other one but she only will do apple so that is why i make her use her own money now.

Would not recommend this at all. Stopped working three weeks after I purchased it. I can’t even return it because they only accept them after 2 weeks which is ridiculous.

works like a normal one - should be include when you spend this kind of money on a phone

I've been buying a number of these cords for my children iPads and iPhones over the years, i think they should be made a more durable, However they are always better than buying any off brands

It’s already showing signs of wear and not working well. You would think I bought an after market charger.

Nothing special about this product. If we call ourselves Best Buy then why am I paying more for this product then buying it at Walmart.
