The cable works, but certain Apple's cables have weak points that lead to split insulation over time. That means a high charge for a small piece of replacement wire and plastic. Is this planned obsolescence a good money maker for the company? I guess so. Considering how good most Apple designs are, the fact that certain cables can be problems doesn't seem like an accident. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but the laptop power cables with their magnetic connections are among the best in the industry, probably THE best. Not so in this case. What can we do? Well, cheap versions are available elsewhere and they seem to work fine, too, until they break- in other words, they are like the Apple product.

The length is what I've been needing. Charge as it should.

I tried some knockoff brands but they always stop working after a few weeks. Apple products are expensive but worth it.

This is the second 2 m cable I buy for myself. I've bought 1 for both my mom and boyfriend as well. We all love it! Plugs are a little far away from our nightstands and beds and this cable comes in very handy since we get to lay on bed using our iPhones while they're charging. We can't do that with the shorter version (1 m). Hopefully they start using a better design or materials so they last longer. My boyfriend's tore like 6 months after I bought it for him and mine tore around 8-10 months I bought mine. They always tear from the same place! -.- I just bought my mom's along with my second one about two months ago so I'm hoping they'll last until April or May. Let's see how that goes...

Got for my daughter for college. Perfect length for a dorm room. Highly recommend!
