    It's sturdier than the 1.2M cord And is also sturdier. It doesn't break right at the plug end like the smaller ones do.

    These longer charging cables are worth having in many situations. Having the right product, specifically made by the/an original manufacturer, is worth the few extra dollars. I have had friends with other manufacturer's products (non-original/OEM) and their cables get warm. That brings to mind materials quality questions. The bottom line - OEM parts are specific to the products we buy, and Apple parts are the right products for our expensive iPhones and iPads.
