    I had ordered a 6-ft cable from an Internet company based on a picture of the lightening connector, which looked exactly like the one on Apple's cable. But when it arrived, it was nothing like the picture, but had plastic insulation around it that was so thick that it wouldn't fit through the opening of my smart case for iPad. I sent it back and bought a 6 ft 6 inch Apple cable from Best Buy, which is perfect. I should have gone to BB first!

    Seems a little thicker and not as flimsy as past cables, but maybe that is because it is new. I like the longer length and it works without any problems.
