    I purchase this cable to replace my original cable for my iPad 4. It is good quality cable but even as a mac user, their own cables are too expensive. I recommend griffin as an alternative.

    Overall, I have to say this Apple cord has brought great joy to my life. I really didn't expect this from just a cord, but when a product is efficient, and works as expected, it just brings such a smile to my face and a bounce in my step!

    Ive owned many Apple brand cords from 3GS iPhone, iPads, iPhone 5. Almost always had to purchase extra cords due to end of the cord breaking and exposing the wires inside. I chose the longer cord so that when using, there is extra slack - which may prevent excess tension on the already frail cord. So far product has held up... As far as function, it charges my phone. There are a lot of non-apple brand cords that are much cheaper and probably equal in durability so why I chose to purchase this ??? because i needed one right away. makes you question my credibility.
