I had purchased several imitations to save some money and at the end of the day it wasn't worth it. These work great and haven't had any problems.

For Apple devices, stay with Apple cables.

Other 3rd party cables we purchased from another company connected fine, said they were charging, but they did not charge our devices even after waiting about 12 hours.

Good cable - overpriced

However, Apple could improve the design and make it stronger. Also, the cost is still outrageous. Second time buying this cable after normal wear and tear rendered the previous unusable
