I needed a longer than 3 foot cord to charge my apple products while using them. This Apple made cord performs just like the shorter one that comes with the phone but allows me to be plugged in and not be so restricted in my use while charging.

Perfect for those hard to reach plug ins at home or in the car.

Charges quickly. Longer length provides greatly flexibility when traveling.

This longer cable provides additional convenience not found in its shorter sibling. The excellent quality remains the same for the short or long version of the respective cables.

This is a true Apple product. Using the charger works as the name describes lightning. All non Apple products may act the same with regards to charging but there is a difference encountered with charging times. This works as designed and work for the 5 or great iPhone. Or some iPad models.

Even though I probably could have picked a generic one and saved money, I stick by the Apple branded cords for my Apple products. I've invested too much in them to damage them with questionable cords.

After my previous cable cracked, I needed a new one. I debated between this one and the shorter one. I am so glad that I decided on the longer cable. I can plug it into the wall and still use my phone while sitting on the couch! It’s the simple things!

Although this is reaaly long, it is perfect for being able to charge devices in the back of the car

This is the cable that Apple should be including in their boxes. The too-short three foot lightening cables that come with expensive Mac Devices are inexcusable. It is sad that longer cables need to be purchased in addition. Shame on Apple. But after the money is spent, they work perfectly.

We bought three extended "Apple Authorized" charging cables from Amazon. Within 2 months, they quit working on our iPads and iPhones. Apple devices sense that it is not an Apple product and actually stops charging. Buy Apple products, otherwise they'll shut you down.

Generally, cables are designed to carry current and/or data. This one definitely carries current. Haven't checked to see if it carries data, but that's not why I bought it.

I only like to use Apple certified products for my Apple products. We all like a sale and never find one. That’s another topic. Long enough to use everywhere from the car, to the house, and anywhere else.

These are great for giving you that extra length you need when you can't get right next to a electrical outlet. Plus, it works great for plugging in behind the bed to plug in at night and still be able to use my phone if I need to. I bought one for me and my husband.

I like this because it's longer than the original. However, it would be nice to have more choices for longer cables.

The cable is a great length. However, I haven't noticed that it charges any faster than any other cable.
