Should be made out of metal

Newer isn’t always better...unless it’s compatible

Even a simple lightening cable didn’t interface properly with my 2012 Honda Accord. It used to be a sure thing when you purchased Apple OEM parts - but it appears - that’s not always a guarantee.

OEM Apple vs. Third Party

Prefer original equipment

Is it Apples base charge or too much markup? Not sure but serviceable cord to charge your Apple iPhone or iPad.

Especially when its made for pennies, not worth it. Rather gamble with third-party chargers. Apple needs to reinforce the plastic around the cable.
