I’ve used many aftermarket cables and none charge my Apple products like the original Apple brand product. I’ve gone the cheap route with online company cables and find myself buying more and more within a short time frame because they just don’t hold up and lose the ability to connect and charge my phone. Apple products seem to work till the cables finally break! Still own a completely care meta one that charges and connects to usb without fail. Highly recommend genuine Apple charging cables to anyone needing a replacement one.

So why would anyone want that?... Because some people like me leave their phone plugged in while at their desk, so they have a full charge when leaving for a meeting or lunch or after work. And it helps extend battery life too. The short cord makes me lean toward the wall and I can't get at stuff on my desk. This cord nearly doubles my reach and I hardly notice it's there. No more plugging-unplugging all day long until the cord finally snaps and you have to buy the short one again. Buy this upfront and have two cords that both work at the same time. So that's why.

I hesitated to purchase such a long cord at first, but it was on sale and the only Apple brand cord in stock so I went for it. My granddaughter is SO happy with it. Now she doesn't have to get out of bed to hit the snooze on her phone alarm. Some might not see that as a benefit, but after months of hearing her alarm clock app ring for what seemed like hours (because she was too sleepy to get out of bed and stop the alarm), having a cord long enough to reach from the outlet and across her room to her bedside table makes my early mornings much quieter.

I’ve bought so many 3rd party cables that give error messages on my phone and iPad, and I’ve gotten tired of dealing with it just to save a few bucks. Every Apple charging cable I’ve bought has long outlasted the original device it was purchased for, and I honestly haven’t had any issues with fraying since their old 30-pin connector cables. The price is what it is, but I know I’ve got a quality product that will work hassle-free for years to come.

I bought two of these cords as replacements for my original factory included standard lightning cords for my iPad and iPhone. Both of those cords were shorter and both had fraying right at the Lightning hub within a month or two of purchasing my devices. This seems to be a product flaw, because the exact thing happened to two different cords. So far these longer cords have not shown any distress or wear at the Lightning connection hub site. I like the longer length as it gives me more freedom of movement when my device is charging and I am using it. I don't have to be right on top of the outlet.

Very useful due to being long wire and excellent product plus it’s apple branded.

I'm constantly buying off brand chargers for my son's iPad. They always go bad. I finally decided to bite the bullet and spend more, to get more. These always outlast the cheaper ones for us unfortunately. Well worth it. Just hard to spend $50ish dollars all at once. But if you think about it, you maybe buy 2-3 cheaper $15-$20 chargers, for them to just go bad fast. So you're saving in the long run.

I needed this for my 6s to replace a shorter one that had become frayed after years of use and abuse. I like the longer length as it is more versatile. For example, I can plug the phone in next to my bed at night and the phone reaches so I can read the phone in bed. I had a gift card so the cost was less important than if I had to reach, but in any event, I wanted an Apple product. My review of Reviews revealed that other brands and knock offs are not reliable. I am too cheap to buy cheap stuff that needs to be replaced.

Amazing quality -as always- from Apple. This cable is long ang durable. Paired with a minimum 12 watt charger and your in the money.

This cord is long and the best quality. I only buy Apple cords and never have a problem. I recommend this to anybody with an iPhone.

The Apple charging cables are always a good quality. They look good and fit snuggly into my devices. I like that they fit all of my devices, and I can limit the number of cables that I have around the house. I feel that charging the batteries at their recommended rate is critical to extended battery life and with these cables and the related USB Power Adaptor, I feel that I achieve my goal.

Love the long cord really helps out when you need to charge your phone as you use it really makes things easier and very good quality and great for the kids also who always take it from me to use cause they always forget to charge there phones

FAST CHARGING LONG DOES NOT BEND THIS WORKS IN THE CAR OR AT HOME

Of course you’re paying for the name, but from my experience, you get what you pay for. I’ve bought off brand chargers that I consider pricey as well, but they don’t last as long as the Apple chargers. Off brand chargers last (me) 6-8 months and I usually have my Apple chargers for 2 years or longer. Therefore, for me, it’s worth the extra money to purchase the brand name product over the off brands.

The fact is that the Apple cables do work better for your devices than knockoffs. The only challenge is around the connection so I have learned to use Kinesiologist tape that I normally use on my neck or low back on the connector area to lengthen the viability of these cables as they do work better and longer than off brand connectors for your expensive devices. I only use Apple cables for Apple products.

I needed a 6 foot charging cable with USB and Lighting connectors on each end. As most products provided by Apple it is very well constructed. One of the problems with longer cables is they are not usually made with adequate wire size to use with Phones, iPads, iPods and ocassionally a LapTop. This Cable is built with appropriate parts so you can anticipate using for a reasonable amount of time.
