Chromecast Plus Google TV

I mainly bought it so I could use wireless headphones. That part works but if anybody else wants to watch TV they don’t have sound at all. Looks like I would need to purchase additional hardware to have sound to work on TV. Even when going straight through Comcast and not streaming from phone I still do not have sound.
