I purposely purchased this accessory cable for my IPad from Best Buy because whenever I tried to use one from another store that said it was compatible to use with my iPad, it would say Accessory Not Supported by this device! So I decided to order 2 accessory cable’s from Best Buy for my specific iPad so That I had an extra one and now this one keeps dinging and saying the ACCESSORY NOT SUPPORTED By This Device!! It’s so annoying! Plus I just paid $60 plus tax for 2 of them whereas in other stores I paid around $15 for one and it still isn’t supported! I’m really upset they’re sending me cheap accessories that don’t even support their own products!

I love Best Buy, so I hate to post a negative review. However, this “Open Box” Apple 6 ft charging cord I bought towards the end of May was not so great a purchase! I think it was defective as soon as I got it out of the box(..though damage wasn’t clearly visible right away..) because as soon as I plugged it in it started pulsing:( I searched for reasons as to why it might be doing that, and one of the main reasons was that the cord was defective..I’m guessing that’s why it was an “Open Box”... Someone returned it for the same reason, didn’t report it upon return and then it was put back on the floor! Thank goodness the return window is still open!

Disappointed with the functionality of this product, especially coming in from the famed Apple stable. This cable splits easy once bent from day to day use e.g. connecting to USB ports (car or home). I've had multiple instances of failure with this cable as we utilize all kinds of Apple products under the sun within the family. Note to self: Stop wasting money on this one and maybe try some cheaper after market alternative.

Not sure what is going on with this, but my cord is already frayed and wires are exposing. Have to return or exchange soon.

These Apple Charging cords work great until the wire cover wears out, cracks and exposes the wires. This one is already shot. Shame on Apple

I am not happy with this cable. This is the third cable I have purchased for my ipad and they all have ended up like this. For the cost the value is not there.

Who is good the first week until it broke and then the tip that goes into the phone just spilled fourth and 1 million pieces

Cable started deteriorating. This has never happened with any of my standard 1m Apple cables.

Bad material/ body of the charger falls apart easy

quick charging item but does not last long. Iron last on the average of about a month and a half and then burns out and no longer works anymore. I bought and used to charge every night like the average person does and within a month and a half the charger no longer works so ultimately a waste of money Especially because it’s supposed to be an apple charger and they’re supposed to work and last with Apple iPhones, but apparently not

Apple accessories are EXPENSIVE - this chord is certainly no exception - $30 for a 6 foot phone chord is absurd. But if you're an Apple nerd like me, you pretty much have to pay the price. I've also found the life expectancy of Apple chords to be poor - they usually quit working after about a year - I've had THREE chords fail. The problem I've had is where the chord enters the USB or Lightning plugs - the chord kinks at that junction, will eventually start working sporadically (because the fine wires inside begin breaking) and eventually will fail completely. I've tried a 3rd party chord - it was reasonably priced but the Lightning adapter was poorly manufactured and quit working after only 2 months. At least the Apple-brand chords work - for a while - at great cost. As far as "Would I recommend this to a friend?" Apple has you - there's no reliable, alternative choice, so yes, if you need to charge an iPhone, I would "recommend" it.

Bought this cord in May so I had it for almost four months anddddddd this is how it looks! Didn’t wrap up the cord and it’s literally falling apart. I could’ve paid half the price for a knock off and it would’ve lasted longer. I’m disappointed!!

There's nothing special about this cable at all. It's good quality but I would recommend the Amazon Basics version which is equivalent quality at a fraction of the price. The 6 foot cable is the most convenient length though.

I don’t know it was my piece that was faulty or the whole batch, but stopped working after 2 months and couldn’t return it.

I was excited about the 2m cord to charge my cell phone downstairs when i watch tv, but the cord frayed quickly at the top end of the cord, and within about 5 to 6 months, the rubber on the top of the cord was gone and the wires were all exposed. I went back to Best Buy to hopefully exchange it, because it was only 6 months later, and I paid around $35 for the cord, but they would not replace it, and said Apple would not replace it. I was very disappointed.

I can understand why Apple needed to improve the connector on my iPhone 5 and new iPad. It works great and is reversible, which is convenient. But I've got six or seven devices, including the iPhone connector built into my car, clock radio dock, etc., that use the old connector. It's a shame to pay $19.95 to $29.95 for adapters/cables, especially since I've had to buy five of them. But they do work well.

Your employee gave me the wrong style of charging cord when I asked for an iPhone cord that plugs into an iPhone square. I received one that plugs into any square type. I appreciate the speediness of trying to help but to rush me into buying the wrong item has not only wasted my time and money, but now after breaking open the box to use it, I won’t be in the country to return it within your policy’s time. I’ve spent a large amount of money with your company in the last few months and something like this makes me not want to shop here.

It’s December 29, 2024, I just purchased this charger in August. Why is it that chargers only work/charge phones for a certain amount of months then they do not work? Tired of buying chargers, especially the expensive ones thinking this won’t be an issue. I can only recommend the item because there’s no alternative to charging phones.

This charging cable goes out fast and wears out in no time. I thought I was doing something because of Apple brand. It lasted 3 months and it is a shortage in the charge and you have to move your device a certain way to get a charge. I did like that cord it long enough that you could charge and do other things at a distance.

Apple has let other businesses represent them and there not doing very well.Also I have bought only apple products I have , air pod pro I have a Mac Pro 2007 and in 2 years I have bought 4 6s phones and 2 I had 24 hrs dropped one in the ocean 4 hrs after I bought it and another stollen and one seven I phone and the representative put it the name of some one else named Carol I ask him to change it at the time I was buying it he said I had to drive 35 miles to a other store . I gave the phone back and left He tried to charge my Wells Fargo account 2 years later and my bank stoped it of coarse He used my personal information to do it he had saved and I’m sure apple would like to know that is why people are sucking up phones like Samsung because they handle there customers not a subsidiary if you want to sell only other stuff only and not deal with your older people we will die out but it will matter in the long run
