I am a student and found that the Apple Pencil capabilities works flawlessly when taking notes and drawing. It's noticebly brighter than the iPad Air 2 and lightning fast. Its definitely apple's best iPad and if you are upgrading from any previous iPad (except the iPad Air 2 you likely will not notice a difference in anything except brightness and Apple Pencil support) you won't regret your purchase.
