Great audio quality, seamlessly connects across my iOS devices. Battery lasts a while. I use them constantly and have only had to charge them around 2 or 3 times since I’ve gotten them. Plus I’m in love with the colors.

I am a huge sound person. I look for headphones with good bass but also quality of sound. The AirPod maxes have some of the best bass in headphones but also keeps quality of sound in mind. When I am traveling by going on flights, the noise cancellation feature makes it worth the price. I have had screaming children sit next to me and the noise cancellation makes me not hear them. Also, it eliminates 90% of the airplane engine noises on the flight, and that is with no music playing. When music is playing I can’t hear a thing. Downsides: I haven’t been a huge over-the-ear headphone person, because it hurts my head. Due to Apple making a more quality product and having the frame be out of metal, the headphones are heavier than competitors. After 2-3 hours of me wearing the headphone, my head starts to hurt from the weight of the headphones on me. This makes me not use the AirPod Maxes as much as I would like. Another issue is the sound. People are more than satisfied with how loud the headphones are, but I personally like my music really loud when I listen. The AirPod Maxes aren’t as loud as AirPod Pros and that is due to them being over the ear headphones, but you can easily fix this by adjusting the equalizer on music apps like Spotify. My last complaint is the noise cancellation mode. It has taken me almost 4 months to get use to the noise cancellation mode. When activated, the only way I can describe it is when your ears plug themselves when you have elevation change, but it also feels like the headphones are pushing inward on you.

These are exactly what I needed. They are definitely a luxury set of headphones. You can tell by the look and feel of them. They are extremely comfortable and sound really good. The noice canceling feature is my favorite part. Just one button and I can hear everything going on around me crystal clear. This helps when im in the office and I need to be able to hear the phone ring. These are my so much better than the AirPods Pro. I was always having issues with one charged and not the other. With these I never have to worry about that. Love love love these headphones!!

I think that the sound is great like most Apple purchases I've made but I do find them hard to exercise with especially when running or jogging other than that they're great I like the look and the way it keeps the outside sounds to a minimum..

The sound quality is incredible. Everything feels premium, from the metal build to the soft ear cushions. Noise cancellation is top-tier, and transparency mode works great. Expensive, but you can tell why once you start using them.

Ive been a Bose fan for years, but after buying these Apple Airpod Max, Bose doesn’t even compare to the sound quality, comfortability, battery life, and compatibility with all my Apple devices. If you are on the fence like I was, do yourself a favor and pull the trigger. You wont regret your purchase.

Simply remarkable. These headphones have the greatest audio on the current market. The noise canceling is outstanding and the transparency is one of a kind. It’s sleek design allows for them to be worn everywhere. Overall, the price is a lot, but these headphones will change your perspective on music itself.

I purchased an open-box pair of AirPods Max from Best Buy, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The headphones arrived in excellent, like-new condition—clean, perfectly packaged, and fully functional. Honestly, I couldn’t tell they were open-box at all. The sound quality is absolutely phenomenal—rich bass, crystal-clear highs, and incredible balance across all genres. Noise cancellation works flawlessly, and transparency mode feels natural and immersive. They’re also extremely comfortable, even during long listening sessions. Pairing with my Apple devices was instant and seamless, just as you’d expect from Apple. Battery life has been great, and the overall build quality feels premium and durable. Once again, Best Buy delivered amazing value with their open-box program. I saved money while still receiving a top-tier, premium product in outstanding condition. I would highly recommend open-box AirPods Max from Best Buy to anyone looking for high-end audio without paying full retail price. Excellent value and an excellent experience all around.

The soubd quality and noise cancellation on these headphones was amazing. They are super comfortable to wear and with the long lasting battery life they work great for long flights. The only downside was you cant use them for really any physical acitivty as they fall off quite easily

These AirPods Max are great ! The audio is clear and the headphones offer a good amount of base to them. The only other competitor I can think of that could rival the AirPods Max in sound would be the new Sony wh-1000xm5. In terms of construction build and connectivity there is no other better than the AirPods Max. If you’re looking for a great pair of headphones these should be on top of your list.

I was going to pre-order these when they first came out in December, but they sold out very quickly. The headphones are great. Apple still has hot disappointed yet when it comes to their products. The sound quality, the design, and the color make them worth it. The first week of wearing them made my neck and head hurt a lot but I got used to them with time and now I even sleep with them on. If you like Apple things, and you got the money for this babies, then you will not regret your purchase.

For Apple's first attempt at over-ear headphones, these are a pretty good set of headphones. I want them to be great headphones, especially being in the Apple ecosystem. I do like them, but they need to figure out the battery issue. Noise-canceling is awesome. Transparency mode is awesome. I do wish there was some adjustable settings in-between those two but for now it is all or nothing. These things are heavy compared to most other headphones, but they are comfortable on the ears and the headband (goofy as it looks) is comfortable as well. The phone call quality is excellent. The audio quality is pretty good as well (not an audiophile, but sounded good to my ears). The build quality is nothing short of spectacular. Unfortunately, the battery issue is real. I cannot understand not having an on/off button, but I could accept that if the headphones properly conserved power, which they do not. When I don't put them in the case, they will lose 10-12% per night (about 14 hours from the time I stop work until I start again in the morning). When I put them in the horribly designed, handbag case it is even worse. I lose 20-30% per night in something that is supposed to conserve power immediately. For now, I have just taught myself that these are a device that needs to be charged every night, just like my iPhone and Apple Watch. It should not be like this. Either Apple needs to fix the power conservation mode or allow for one of the buttons to turn them on and off. Here's hoping to a software fix soon. Other than that one, major issue, these headphones are near the top-of-class in everything else. Unfortunately, for a lot of people the battery issue will be a non-starter. You will need to decide for yourself if that is the case based on your use and needs.

    For exercise; addressing moisture/condensation.

    Posted .

As other reviews and reports have suggested, the AirPods Max do have a moisture/condensation issue (particularly in the earcups beneath the detachable cushions). As an avid jogger, I am going to share my experience with the headphones and recommendations on how to ensure they last as long as possible. • AirPods Max is a high-end, heavy-duty piece of audio equipment that should be taken care of to ensure it’s longevity. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” • These headphones have zero waterproof/water-resistance ratings. Exposing these headphones to moisture (like excessive sweat from exercise) is done with some risk of internal damage. I use these headphones for 30-45min/day jogging and walking. However, I have performed the following “routine” to minimize any possible damage. 1) Purchase AppleCare+. This allows customers to request two “accidental-damage” replacements every year for a $29 accident fee each time. Also, invest in MULTIPLE extra pairs of ear cushions from Apple. This way, you can alternate pairs to maximize the time each pair is given to air out after being drowned in sweat. (If you use them for intense exercise, it is likely that after a workout the ear cushions will be soaked with sweat). I alternate between two pairs of cushions for exercise (an “A” pair and “B” pair to use every other day). I also purchased a third pair of cushions to use for leisure-listening (do NOT use these for exercise). 2) After a workout/run/jog/etc., IMMEDIATELY remove the ear cushions, and set them to the side. Then, examine the headphones for any moisture, and use a lint-free cloth (dry) to remove any sweat that built up inside the headphones. If needed, wipe down the other parts (headband, outside of speakers, etc.). Once dry, turn the headphones face down so any internal moisture can fall away from the headphone’s components. (See image). 3) Examine the ear cushions that were just used during the workout. Again, in my experience, they will (likely) be soaked with sweat, so it is important to make sure they can air out as well. Dab a lint-free cloth (dry) against each cushion to remove any excess moisture. Then, turn them face down (i.e., the cushion side that touches ear facing downward) so any remaining moisture can escape and dry out. (See image). 4) Oftentimes, whenever I am airing out the cushions and headphones, I will place them (separately) in front of a fan so the drying process occurs more quickly. (See image). 5) Usually, I let the ear cushions air out for roughly 48 hours. Alternating between two pairs allows each pair to sit unused for that duration of time. 6) Usually, I let the headphones air out for at least SIX hours before using again. However, at most I do 24 hours since I use them everyday for exercise. • This process sounds intricate, but these headphones need to be taken care of. Again, these are only my recommendations; using them for exercise will always carry SOME risk. Even though I use these for intense exercise and expose them to a lot of sweat, using this process allows me to not worry about my sweat/exercise dangerously damaging my headphones. If you want a pair of headphones for exercise but don’t want to follow a detailed care regimen for them, I would recommend finding a pair that has some level of moisture resistance. These headphones provide superb sound quality, but does come at the cost of having to take extra steps to make sure they are being treated well (and staying dry).

I was hesitant at first, not knowing what the condition of the headphones would be. I’m glad I took the “risk” the headphones were flawless and still available for me to get apple care added to them. Sound is amazing from the headphones a little heavy but premium headphones. I’ve now purchased many open box, refurbished items from Best Buy and every time, the items have been great.

I have not had any issues since owning these. The sound cancellation works amazing. The sound quality I enjoy. Like most, price is pricey but this review is not about that it’s about the quality. I haven’t had issue if it falling off my head when worn. Feels comfortable on as well.

These were actually my second pair. I originally was gifted the black ones and i loved them so much but i decided after 1 year of having them that i wanted the pink ones. I love these headphones many people feel like they have a tight fit but over time i feel like the adjust well to the size of your head. The sound quality is amazing and they are truly so comfortable that most times i fall asleep with them. I gave my old black ones to my boyfriend and he is as obsessed with them as i am
