I used them on the train for hours and it cancelled out all the major distracting noises. They sit comfortably on my ears for a long period of time, and the feature that allows you to turn off the noise cancelling element and hear everything around you is exceptional. And, the sound quality is still top notch. Definitely the best pair of noise cancelling headphones I've ever used - highly recommend!

My only gripe with these headphones is the price however since Apple loves to make their products quite expensive.
