The headphones I received were in perfect condition and paired fine. That’s when the problems started. It was never disconnected from the original purchaser’s iCloud so my phone started to freak out every 15 minutes telling me that I’m being tracked. When I try to exchange it, it had a wrong serial number on it, so even if I wanted to I couldn’t replace it. So at this point the original owner knew my location and can also claim that I stole his headphones. It took me about 45 minutes at the store to convince them that this is what happened. The phone Support dropped me three times. Finally when the general manager looked up when it was returned and me telling him that the persons name is Nick (from the device’s name) and that I cannot contact him he believed my story and replaced it. Apple Store told me that they can’t do anything about it and that the geek squad should have the person remove the device from his iCloud.

    Avoid Open Box Airpod Max

I bought open box AirPod Max and brought them home to find the are tied to the previous purchaser’s iCloud (Find My) account. There is no workaround to this problem unless you don’t care that you will not be able to connect them to your own iCloud Find My account. This was a huge waste of time - even when I returned them to Best Buy, the store employees had no idea how this was allowed to happen. I wish I had read more reviews on this site. Avoid this open box product or dont leave Best Buy without pairing to your phone on-site to make sure it isn’t paired to someone else’s account.

I have thought about buying these head phones for 2 years. For me this is a crazy amount of money. Well I finally pulled the trigger. On the way home I thought to myself "Are you nuts what have you done. Until I put them on and heard them. My only regret is I didn't buy them 2 years ago!

I bought headphones in best-buy in credit in March 28/23 Model Apple AirPods max and for the last few months there has been a problem with hard noise in the left headphones when I turn on noise cancellation. Best-buy sent me to apple they took the headphones for repair and no one knows how long it will take so I don’t have headphones and I continue to pay a loan for them what type of fraud is being used here it’s so unfair. In Apple Store was only one option send it on repair technician just both store assistants was rude and not professional. I really get shocked service like that and so disappointed omg is it Best Buy and Apple Store or it small weird company??? They will nice with you when you buy some stuff, but when time to return you can get problem. I will do small claim court if issues will not fix in time. As I said it’s not fair continue to pay for the product in credit and don’t use it.

For the price tag, i was expecting a pair of headphone with outstanding sound quality but it was mid. It was like an overpriced pair of airpods. Sonys are way better.

Sound is excellent and being an iphone/ipad user the seamless integration with those products can't be beat. What sold me was the build quality which is noticeably better than other comparable headphones from Sony, Bose, Beats. Sure you pay a premium but it's worth it in the long run.

I really wanted to like these. But… Pros: Quality materials & build. Apple ecosystem. Aesthetically nice. Above average noise cancellation. Cons: Sound quality is average to below average. No EQ. Heavy. High price $470-$550 Not sweat resistant at the least. Case is like wtf is this. No power button. Stay “on” all the time Battery could last longer

Buyer beware, these are extremely fragile, wearing them outside in humid weather and sweating can damage them. They need to only be used in low moisture environments or they only last 6 months. Take them for repair and Apple wants to charge $299 to repair moisture damage! Initial quality and sound were awesome, but so disappointed in what ended up being $100 per month of use!!

They sound good and the anc is decent but they are not comfortable at all and are really heavy. The clamping force is tight and the headband puts a lot of pressure on the head. Returned them because I won't be able to use them for long periods of time.

    XM4 > AirPods Max

Too heavy, to big of a pain to transport, lack of a good case, mediocre sound quality for the price. Honestly, I thought these would blow the xm4s out of the water, but they still reign king. The only think better about the AirPods is the pass through mode, however, I generally wear on an airplane and the XM4s do that well enough. Listen, I’m a huge apple fan, I have all Mac/apple products, and if you wear headphones for a a long time/travel, save the money and get the xm4s. The pros of the xm4 are the case, the adjustability on the sound quality (another thing apple lacks) weight, true battery life and honestly, looks.

I’m sure the headphones are fantastic. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to use them as there were open box, but Best Buy forgot to have the owner disassociate their Apple ID. So I had to return them and they didn’t have any other open box in that condition. Don’t buy open box through Best Buy for Apple products… bummer.

For a bit it was good, sound was better than airpod pros and noise canceling made me feel completely alone in a coffee shop but issues happened. I used them for less than a week and it started to buzz in the left ear. I disconnected them and reconnected them, still buzzed. For the price point, it is sad to see it happen, had to return and get something more reliable.
