We have had to replace multiple sets of these headphones. They were $600 and over time they won’t connect to any Apple device. I love Apple products, but these are overpriced garbage. Don’t spend the money on these headphones.

Item listed as open box excellent condition, but actually came refurbished and original ear muffs were replaced with off-brand ones. The quality is significantly different, the ear muffs are constantly falling off. I would appreciate to know all the details of the product before purchase

    $550 garbage

I’ve had these for almost 2 years. Nothings but problems. They constantly connect, disconnect and reconnect. I can’t listen to a 3 minute song without them disconnecting/reconnecting at least 10 times. It’s very common for one of the speakers to just stop working. The button & crown button work 50% of the time. Ohhhh…. Here’s a dumb thing…. When around others like on a subway or airplane, they disconnect from me and try to connect with other Apple devices. One guy on a plane got so frustrated that he stopped using HIS iPhone because MY Airpods wouldn’t leave him alone. I have a pair of $60 ANC headphones from Amazon that work much better. Those are almost 5 years old and work perfectly. These $550 Apple Airpods Max? Garbage from day one. Repared and replaced by Apple but still garbage.

    Case + ear things

I like these headphones a lot but they have some flaws. The case is not that good compared to the other AirPods cases. It’s just a piece of apple silicone with a magnet in it. I would of liked to see a case like the other airpods. The ear things arnt that good because the foam gets deformed afer awhile. The top is also not the most comfortable

I was thinking about buying some headphones and had my eyes on these. I got them on the 3 day sale last week, so i paid $500. i did see lots if good reviews, but also many negative reviews. the problems i have: #1: theyre HUGE #2: i cant wear them for over 2 hours without them feeling super heavy on my head & neck #3: theyre SUPER heavy once on my head. #4: they slip off my head TOO easily!! #5: can’t use them for the gym:/ #6: they dont turn “off” unless you carry the case with you everywhere. i could go on forever!! i dont recommended spending $500+ on a pair of headphones when they simply just arent worth it in my opinion.

Great headphones. I use them for working out and watching movies when I am around a lot of family members. I’ve gone through many headphones, the noise cancellation, hands down is the best.

I HAD to give them an honest shot and are they great? Kinda! But are they "one of the most expensive you can buy" great? Absolutely not! Master & Dynamic makes a pair that beats these in every way from sound to build quality for $50 cheaper. Same with Bang & Olfusen, same with Sennheiser. Apple is tied to their AAC sound codec. It's lossy. Compare that to APTX HD in other top brands even the Microsoft Surface for less than half the price and there's no competition. Compared to nearly lossless LDAC codec in Sony MX3 and MX4, Apple falls behind even more.

    Waste of Money/Don’t Work

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Owned the AirPods for about a year before they bricked and refuse to connect to my phone or play any audio I tried factory resetting them but that didn’t work also tried cleaning the cable that connects the earpieces through the head band that didn’t work either. Huge disappointment after spending half a grand for headphones. Went to a Apple Store and it is 300 to send them in to get fixed huge waste of money (weren’t even worth it when they did work)

Great if you aren’t allergic to them.

While they sounded nice, we’re comfortable... I got an allergic reaction from wearing these. For most people, you will not have this problem. So far I seem to be one of the handful of people who had an allergic reaction. My guess its in the adhesive used to glue the synthetic material to the foam. After wearing over a period of two days, had a severe allergic reaction. (I can only guess its the glue ... but since they are made in China... who knows.) If you do not have any allergies or sensitivity to materials... then these may be good for you. I mean that they sound great, love the noise cancelling and were relatively comfortable to wear. If only Apple had an alternative cup w a leather/lamb skin or something. These were meant to be a replacement for my Beats pro, that fell apart after a couple of years.

    Not for an active lifestyle

I bought these headphones to use as my daily driver for the gym and for the first six months I was very pleased with how I spent my money, but after around month 7 I started running into issues with the headphones such as them not connecting or not even showing up on Bluetooth, recently in the middle of my work outs the right side has started cutting out of when I take them off my head they won’t connect back to my phone and static plays. These headphones are absolutely horrible to work out in despite what anyone says, however they for basic day to day use they are fine.

    damaged product not satisfactory

my AirPods came well packaged but the plastic wrap was a bit off. When I opened them the AirPods had black marks on the band very strange because they were brand new. I tried cleaning it but it doesn’t come off. Ignored it. But then after just one week the sound started messing up. And I keep my air pods super good I treat them well don’t use them outside. I’m upset because it’s been only a month of me having them and I don’t use them because I’m upset they don’t work as well as the first few days I got them. I have never dropped them or anything I’m very careful and kind with them. I feel sad because I wasted my money and I didn’t get Apple care so it’s like I’m at a loss.

These are very heavy and expensive headphones that do not sound any better than beats headphones. Since they are not even water resistant, they really should not be used at the gym or near water. I am very disappointed in these and they certainly don't live up to my expectations with an Apple product.

The sound quality is great. Amazing really. If only I could wear them for more than 10 minutes. A full flight? Out of the question. They are heavy and incredibly tight in the head. They don’t get better with wear. Save the money and go with Bose or Sony.
