Great sound great build quality but I do not recommend for working out. Ear muffs absorbs water which can leak into the circuits causing damage to the Bluetooth. Had to repair twice since purchasing them

These are probably the best headphones I’ve used, noice cancellation is top tier. Just a great set of headphones

I was skeptical about paying this much for noise canceling headphones but I will say they work amazing! Went on a trip recently and I couldn’t even hear the engine noise on the airplane. Bass is great as well but of course we all know if you are more of an audiophile Sony is the way to go for that but as far as the Apple ecosystem goes and wanting that true superior noise canceling feature these are it.

I upgraded from the Beats Studio and I’m loving the noise cancelling and the fit of these!

Since most of my devices are apple, I gave a try to the airpods max mainly to be used for leisure and around the office, sound quality they are really good and you can listen to clear music and outstanding for videos with the spatial audio which I love, noise canceling in my experience on of the best if not the best in the market, and very comfortable to wear for long periods of time or on plane trips.

Excellent sound quality! A+++ OEM apple products are expensive for a reason you get what you pay for in the long run.

I really do love them. Although they are heavy they are nice to travel with, walk around, and go to the gym with.

Excellent sound! Everything that you would come to expect from a premium apple product. Bass is not overpowering and actually adds to the crisp sound experience. Very easy to pair with apple device and also to switch devices. I have an iMac, iPad, and iPhone and am able to connect to all 3 seamlessly. to sure how it would work on non-apple devices but it is bluetooth so I am sure connectivity would not be an issue. The noise cancellation is awesome and rivals that of the BOSE headsets which actually do this the best in my opinion. The transparency mode works exceptionally well and the spatial sound is INCREDIBLE! Just like watching a movie in the theatre when watching movies and video on iPhone, iPad, or computer. Another really cool feature is that you can connect with your Apple TV to allow for a personal viewing experience that does not disturb any one else in case you're watching TV late at night. Aesthetically these things are very nice! Mesh ear cups are comfortable, though after long periods they do get a little warm. Ear cups can be replaced as well after wear, though for $60. The headset is a bit heavy due to the aluminum, but doesn't really bother me much when wearing them. One thing I would change is the case. For a $550 headset you would think that it would warrant some type of hard shell case, but you have to get that after market. Also battery lasts a while, but does drain if not placed in case, since that is the only way they turn completely off. Other than those small things I think these are an exceptional purchase and am enjoying them immensely!

Sound quality at certain volume levels is almost exactly the same. Kind of unbelievable. It is as though Apple reverse engineered the Bose 700 and copied its sound signature and noice canceling to within 5 percent. There is a definite sound quality difference though that changes with the volume level. This is all about the DSP. Of course, the digital signal processing (DSP) is called Computational Audio on the Max and Volume Optimized EQ on the Bose. This is what works differently and what accounts for sound differences dependent on the volume. Basically, the Bose sound better at 60 percent volume and below. Bose just has it dialed in so that everything sounds rich and balanced. I usually listen to music at about 55 percent volume on my iPad. So, I prefer the sound of the Bose. The sound at 60 percent and below on the AirPods Max suffers from a veiled upper midrange. An alto saxophone, for example, will sound as though it is being played behind a wooden door.

Amazing sound, best consumer headphones I’ve heard. Noise cancelation is unmatched. Unfortunately they are big, bulky, and heavy. Because of the weight they tend to slip off your head if your moving, walking, working out. Hopefully Apple will refine the APMax in the future. Currently they are not worth $500.

Honestly the best headphones I could’ve asked for. They fit in perfectly with my daily needs and over achieves at getting the job done. I dont get any type of discomfort when wearing for an extended period of time like others have mentioned. The bass and volume are out of this world and dont get me started on the noise cancellation… Its like im in a silent room i tell no lies. These headphones are just perfect!!

Got these for my wife since she works from home (on her Macbook) and is on the phone (iPhone) all day and when she's not on a call, she likes to listen to music or a book or run on the treadmill. She wanted something comfortable but that sounded great and could bounce between her devices with ease. The AirPods Max have been perfect for her and the microphone quality for her calls has been excellent, too.
