Excellent sound, design and more built in features. I wear them and sleep well with them on. They are also excellent with the noise cancellations.

The best headphones I own. I have a set of Bose headphones that I was using and they are ok. However these headphones are light years ahead of Bose headphones. They seamlessly work with my iPhone, MacBook Pro and my iPad. The sound is crisp and smooth. I can actually be hands free with them. I can answer calls, make calls, respond to texts with just my voice. Could never do that with the Bose. If you are part of the “I “ world these are a perfect addition. If I had to give them one flaw it would be there is not an off button. Don’t understand why there is not one but that has not kept them from being my go to headphones.

I really rate them a 4.6 as they have many Great qualities . Comfortable for a Larger HeadPhone and fit is Very Good. I like the color options and so far the battery life is Good. I used them on a flight to Hawaii and really enjoy how Comfortable they actually are. Only complaint is apple could supply a headphone jack plus with purchase.

These are excellent headphones; they have superb sound quality, stellar noise cancellation, decent bass, and they look very unique. I would easily rate these a 5/5 but there are a few very major setbacks that compelled me to return them at the end of the day. First off, the case SUCKS! I don’t know what they were thinking when they decided to release these headphones at $550 with a case like that! This case is flimsy, barely covers the headphones, offers no protection and it is just plain ugly, the case alone devalues these headphones by at least $50. Another setback is the bass; the bass is subpar at best. It is decent but headphones like Sony MX4 or Bose NC700 have way better bass. The headphones are also VERY heavy! You absolutely know that you’re wearing them the whole time you do wear them and it sucks. Last but not least that price is DISGUSTING. Again, these headphones are excellent but could easily be better. Are they worth the $550 price tag? ABSOLUTELY NOT. For about $200 less you can get other headphones better than these. I do very much like what they’re selling here and look forward to seeing the necessary improvements in their next pair.

I love these headphones! The sound is crisp, the color is beautiful, and I like the build and case they comes with. I’d say the only downside is that they tend to slip forward depending on what workout you’re doing at the gym. I take them off for deadlifts, for example. Walking or upright workouts are fine. I still wanted a durable headset since I’d gone through 3 pairs of Beats noise cancelling due to their low quality.

Excellent! A very easy setup to pair with my iPad Pro. Bluetooth paired quickly without any problems. Speedy access to my music library at the get-go using Siri. Switching to live stream podcast was a simple request. I love this headphone. Way more comfortable than my AirPod Pros. Just starting to use it after unboxing, so am not too familiar with how long the battery lasts, but I expect for quite a while between charges.

So I buy a lot of stuff from Best Buy. I don’t normally write reviews as it’s just not my thing but I feel like I had to for these. When they first came out (even though I’m a huge apple person pretty sure I have just about everything they make) I was super skeptical about this and thought they looked pretty goofy. Being the apple fan I am and liking to try out new tech I decided to give these a go. Now I’ve only have them for about 8 hours but already I can tell you these are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. I have such thick hair that most headphones tend to slide off my head if I move around too much while listening to music (I like to jam while doing things around the house or whatever). These stay on my head so well and have ample room for my ears with several piercings that do not fit well with other over the ear headphones. If you’re even remotely thinking about these I would recommend getting them.

They're an Apple product, so they're good sounding headphones regardless of my personal preferences. Over ear headphones tend to give me headaches but these do not. The ear covers are removable and easy to clean. Relative to my Airpod Pro's, these are not that impressive. I like them for low movement activities like reading or watching TV, but other than than that I rarely reach for them over my normal airpod pro's. I also wish I could customize the sound settings in these, which is a feature I feel like is pretty standard in over ear headphones like this. I wouldn't necessary recommend these, they're not really worth the money. Comfort is good, physically easy to care for. Sound is just ok. They're just... fine.

First off I have had many headphones. although ive never swallowed such a hefty price. I must say this is by far the best pair I have ever owed. I have had several from Bose to Sony .. I had x2,x3, and even the x4 Sony headphones and while they are much lighter, and have a few features like eq . these AirPods max have much better ANC and the fit is amazing. yes they are heavy and you feel the weight but they have stayed on for the most part. compared to the Bose and Sony I feel the AirPods max have more volume. I would say the sound is more flat although everything sounds great. the bass is not overpowering but it does thump. the mids are not muddy and stay clear through volume without distorting, the highs are great as well . they pair much easier than either the Bose and Sony . Noise control is also easily adjusted and volume on the crown is a welcome change to touch controls or gesture features found in other headphones. I would have to say this is easily one of the best headphone ive ever owned. I also saved over 100 buying open box.

I love these! Comfortable on the head, even after extended wear. The sound quality is amazing and I love how easy it is to switch between noise cancellation and transparency mode. Of course, the design is beautiful as well. The quality is top notch.

Noise blocker 100% Volume 100% I love it I use it for work and gym and just to talk around the house. Love the product. The ear resting covers are removable and ur able to hand wash them And they will smell and look good as new. And above all battery Life is excellent I charge I’d every 2 days and that’s if and I use these headphones a lot! Love them

Great noise cancelation, but when someone calls me they cant hear me. I have to constantly remove the Bluetooth. Music sounds awesome.. i would hightly recommend them for people who go out to gyms. Dont trust your self alone . The nosie cancellation part. You wont hear someone coming from behind. Beware women.

Apple has done it again. These things have the best sound and noise cancellation, it stncs seamlessly, its so well designed. Why doesn’t everyone have a pair of these? Seriously, go get some.

The sound quality is the best I have experienced in the different styles (ear buds and over the ear) and brands (Bose, Sony and Apple) I have used over the years. If I have any complaints about these headphones it would be three (but minor points): 1) does not use the standard USB-C charging port. 2) A little heavier than other brands and styles used. 3) The standard storage option that comes with these headphones. This last point is a bit quirky as it would be nice to be able to fold and store in a smaller case.

I had the Sony XM5 headphones prior and let me tell y’all… these are a hundred times better! They’re perfect. Sound is as clear as day, noise cancellation blocks out everything, and the quality overall is amazing. It’s worth the money in my opinion.

I love the seamless connection between Apple products. The bass and treble levels are perfect and I can hear all instruments almost individually when playing a song. The fit is also very comfortable.

These are awesome headphones and like all Apple products, they integrate so very well with the rest of my Apple universe (iPhone, iPads, MacBook Air, etc.). The sound is superior in my opinion and the Spatialize Stereo function actually increases the music audio performance nicely. The simple switch button between ANC and Transparency Mode works great and I very much like Transparency Mode. When you have your headphones on and your wife want to chat, just click the button and she comes in loud and clear. I swear that I can actually hear better with my headphones on and Transparency Mode on than I can hear with my headphones off! The volume dial works great, but I did switch the default high/low setting direction because it seemed wrong to me. It’s simple to reverse the direction in settings if you feel the same. My only complaint is that the headphones are not adjustable like virtually every other set of headphones I have owned before. I have a larger head, so the fit on my head is slightly tighter than I’d prefer. It’s acceptable, but not as comfortable as the fit with my Bose QC 35’s that are fully adjustable. If you have a larger head, definitely try these on at the store before you buy just so you are ok with the comfort of the fit on your head. I would have thought Apple could have added some adjustability into these things to make a better fit more available to those of us in the “larger head community”. Hah! But other than that, I think you’ll like these AirPods Max. My rating: 4 1/2 stars (minus 1/2 star due to lack of adjustability).

This review likely won't say anything that hasn't already been written, but maybe it'll help someone. I was looking for over-the-ear noise-canceling wireless headphones for travel and occasional use while doing chores around the house. I was considering Bose and Sony, since both got great reviews and I've been really happy with the Bose Quiet Comfort wired earbuds. I love my Airpods Pro, except they don't like to stay in my ears and I can't imaging wearing them for hours on end. The Airpods Max went on sale a few weeks ago, which helped me get over the sticker shock. I use them with my iPhone 12 Max Pro and iPad Pro exclusively. The sound is deep and crystal clear. I couldn't imagine better sound. The fit is super comfortable. I could likely wear them throughout an international flight with ease. Storage is awkward with their little flappy case, but I'll either buy a third party case or keep them in a protective camera backpack I use for travel. Just wait til they're on sale.
