“Wow.” That’s the first and most prominent thing that comes to mind...over and over. I know they cost more than most of their competitors, but for me, they are absolutely worth it. I own the Sony M4s, Shures, Yamahas, Masters and Dynamic, Nuraphones and Bowers and Wilkens and the AirPods Max bests them all...by a lot. I can’t believe how crisp and tight the sound is. The spatial separation is phenomenal and the bass is just right. Plus, there is zero distortion at any volume I’ve tried. I’ve started listening to all my old favorite songs from years ago and it’s like hearing them for the first time. I’m seriously impressed. Yes, the storage case is virtually useless but for me, the build materials and attention to detail of the AirPods Max are unparalleled in the wireless ANC segment. Plus, as I mentioned, the sound is stunning. They are also very comfortable and I do not notice the extra weight at all. Since their introduction, I have been a huge Sony 1000MX supporter and have owned each iteration. But now, the AirPods Max are my go-to-daily’s.

Awesome sound quality, noise canceling, interface with iPhone and iPad. They are very comfortable. Looks cool too. Love easy to replace ear cups. Serious battery life. Upgrade over my Bose headphones which I still love.

Fantastic sound - totally enveloping, comfortable, well built. Perfect integration with Apple source devices. Noise cancellation is top tier. I also like how they don’t stick out from your head as much as other headphones - sleek look. Everyone complains about the case, but it’s actually not that bad, especially if you’re putting these inside a backpack or something. Plus there are plenty of inexpensive full case options out there.

I wasn’t sure if these headphones were going to be worth the price, but my Beats headphones got stolen so I needed a new over-ear replacement. Wow!!! From the comfortable cushions that surround your ear to a surprisngly comfortable head cushion… except its not really a cushion… just another clever Apple design. The noise cancellation is so good… I’ve missed my train stop more than once. A few times a year bestbuy has a $50 dollar off sale. That is the lowest price I’ve been able to find! Grab them then! (Bought a second pair for my husband at the next sale since he kept stealing mine haha)

I love these AirPod max. I was a lil hesitant about this purchase, however it’s worth the price. The sound quality is magnificent. Especially while I’m training and or watching a show/movie. The connectivity is very easy and you can adjust the settings of the audio to your comfortability. The battery life is amazing, I charge my headphones approx 2 times a week.

I was immediately blown away by the elegant design. The sturdiness of the frame and the quality of sound is just life altering. When in transparency mode the environmental sounds are amplified so that you everything. And I mean everything. That being said when transparency mode comes off you are submerged into a deep abyss where nothing but your tunes can reach you. The bass hits hard the treble is clear. AirPods Max 5 stars all the way. About the price… I’m not too bothered for you get what you pay for. And I surely paid for high quality sound.

Yes… I’d rather have USB - C, but I can deal with a lightning port if it saves me $170 (on sale). These look great, they are super comfortable, noise cancellation is top notch, and they sound awesome. The bra like case leaves a lot to be desired, and at full retail, their certainly expensive, but theres no doubt, they are one of the most premium headphones you can buy.

I recently purchased for my wife and it exceeded all her expectations. We are impressed by the premium build quality and its sleek design. The sound quality is great and the canopy makes them comfortable for hours of listening!

I had been looking at these for a while and decided to make the plunge. The noise canceling is top notch. I knew the APP2 was great with noise canceling but they are in ear. These over the ear were so much better than anything I have tried. They blocked out a ton of outside noise. When I need it, transparency mode is the best I’ve use too. The sound is phenomenal too. Clean sound with punchy bass. I don’t use an EQ with them either. The round dial pauses and plays music, as well as answers calls. The only negative is the case, if you want to call it that. But that is a small blip on the radar for such a great set of headphones. Yes they are pricey but a great purchase in my opinion.

I am an audiophile and have sold and listened to system that were over a million dollars, I left that at its peak the late 90 and 2000's. So these are hands down the best Bluetooth headphones I have ever heard. I bought 3 pair of them, me, my husband, and best friend from Bestbuy and had never heard thm before I bought them and I was worried about them not stacking up and being not to my expectations. So the sound, it is amazing I hear the full spectrum of sound 20hz to 20000hz and perhaps above for imaging. They have good flat sound where the bass is not blaring and distorting and fake or just non-existent, that being said they do have some really good bass, they are the full range of sound with good mids and highs too. I was impressed how loud they can go up to and never distort. Also one of my other favorite feature on how fast they charge 5 min and they are up to 50% its really awesome and amazing. So even if you use them you could take a quick break and they are redy to listen for a few hours more. Apple music and TIdal sound great in FLAC. I have given lots of gift but truly these are yhe best gift I ever gave my husband he uses them all the time and every day, he tend to get something as a gift and never really used it, thats the complete opposite with these maybe his Iphone was another good gift to him. The quality is really good with the aluminum ear cabinet its light and rigid which is what you want, it also uses a large speaker so it can produce the lows, the sound isolation is really cool and works really well, press the button and the outside sound nearly disappears, press it again and you can hear a person trying to talk with you really well, and why does that happen when your listening to lol. Press it again and you are back to isolation. Its so easy to pair you just put them on and they are already showing up on the ihone screen which is so cool and they move right over if I want to listen to my Ipad or even move to my macbook pro, The spacial audio sounds great albeit not really having all the speaker in the headphones to fully reproduce that but that is probably to come soon I imagine. They are comfortable to wear for hours which is so important. There is so much more but I definely recommend them, its some if the best monies I spent on electronics, I would tell you if you are on the fence just buy them you won’t be sorry.

The headphones have a great sound quality & transparency mode, but frankly, they have disappointed me considering the luxurious price tag. Pros: Good sound quality, excellent transparency mode, excellent comfort on head, they have a great battery life, and good quality materials & they look awesome. Cons: Outdated with a big price tag, the headphones are uncomfortable when placed on the neck, especially when walking, a useless pouch/purse instead of a portable charger like the regular airpods, and from my experience, the button used for transparency mode and the volume would get stuck & wouldn't come back up.

Are they worth 550? If you have an iPhone yes. Android or anything else, maybe not. The iPhone will give you audio editing/tuning options that you will not find elsewhere. On the iPhone make sure you are updated to the latest iOS that help the phone truly recognize the headphones, and then update the firmware of the headset itself. I consider myself an audiophile, and when I try new headphones, the sound test I put them through is fairly simple, and I play 5 key songs of different genres that I would say have “hidden sounds” or instruments that cheaper headphones would not catch. These pass the test, and surpass the Bose and Sony headsets in separating instruments, the “soundstage” effect. If you are a person who can’t tell the difference in good headphones versus others, don’t waste your time, because you won’t be able to justify the reasoning for the pricing. The comfort is amazing, and I can wear these for 4 hours plus with no discomfort. They look great, and noise cancellation is amazing on these headphones.
