Overall, I would recommend, but only if cost and weight are not deciding factors for you. TL;DR: Noise cancellation - Great! I had no idea my home and office were so loud until I tried these then took them off. Noise cancelling does have a few exceptions, like running water and other high frequency sounds like dish clanking. Sound - Quality is excellent, especially for streaming video. I used them wirelessly for conference calls; they can be wired as well with a lightning to aux cable. Weight - These are quite hefty compared to similar products, weighing in at around 40% heavier than the closest competitors. For me caused neck and upper back pain after only short periods of use (less than one hour). Design - I loved the mesh ear cups compared to other over ear products I've used. I found them comfortable, breathable, and safe for my sensitive, allergy-prone skin. Price - These are immediately recognizable as an expensive item whereas competitor headphones are likely harder to recognize. This easy identification was a downside for me as I'd rather go with a set that is NOT such an obvious status symbol. Bottom Line: The hefty weight and hefty price...err, outweigh...the value for me. That said, if you are not concerned about the exorbitant cost or about putting your financial choices on display in such an obvious way, these are a great product for those embedded in the Apple ecosystem.

The performance was really good for iPhone ecosystem but very expensive for the sound you're getting. Beats fit pro and Beats Studio Pro outperforms Airpods max at any single day and they're the best for both worlds, Android and iPhone ecosystems.

I’ve had all of the AirPods and both of the AirPods pros. Alao to include the beats. The AirPod max is similar to the first AirPod pro. To me its about what im on the mood foe. I like it but I love my AirPod pro 2nd version more. 

Bought this as a gift for my daughter and she absolutwly Looved it!! It was a Xmas gift and i bought yhe marching watch and she loved it.

The Apple AirPods Max are a premium set of over-ear headphones that deliver impressive sound quality, rich spatial audio, and top-tier noise cancellation. From a listening perspective, they’re among the best in their class, with deep bass, clear mids, and a spacious soundstage that excels with both music and movies. However, their microphone quality doesn’t quite live up to the rest of the package. In calls or voice recordings, the mic can sound distant or muffled unless you’re speaking loudly and clearly. Background noise can also interfere more than expected for a product at this price point. For casual conversations or quick voice commands, they’re fine—but if you’re frequently on calls or using them for remote work, you might find yourself frustrated by having to raise your voice just to be heard clearly.

Very good and works wonderfully it’s the best for plan rids

A gift for my daughter! These headphones are crazy good! The sound quality had my jaw on the ground. I already have a hard time getting her to hear me but with these things it just made it 10 times worse LOL. These block out all the sound around you. The battery life is on point also. She loves them so much, I might get some for myself.

I love my AirPods Max. I wear glasses and was afraid that they might put too much pressure on my ears and that they would hurt. But that's not the case. They are a little heavy but I don't seem to notice that much while I'm wearing them during my Zoom calls and if I'm listening to music. I love the noise canceling. I also got them at a good price being they were on sale and I am a Best Buy member. I also love the color Green.

I purchased these AirPod Max on March, and haven’t switched back from them since. I own 1st and 2nd generation AirPods, AirPods Pro’s, Beats by Dre, QC Bose noise cancellation ( the latest model) and now the AirPod Max. And I’m very impressed on the transparency with these on my ear. You can hear very clearly and the noise cancellation is pretty decent as well. Far as the price goes, I seriously have no problem with the price and I even purchased another pair but different color because I love the color choices. The carry case is a little different and something to get used to. But I’m not using the actual case it came with, I purchased a charging carry case and ear covers to protect the outer shell. These headphones are phenomenal and I definitely recommend these to anyone. The sound is also great. It depends on which music app you’re using. Great buy and definitely pleased with thee that I had to write a review.

Perfect my girlfriend loved it. Easy to connect specially with Iphone user. Bass goes crazy, user friendly, you don’t have to be a geek to use it. No confusing EQ.

Definitely not the quality I was expecting from an Apple product. Cons: These are heavy, bulky and sound is terrible. They the most transparent noise canceling head phones I’ve used so far. No one can hear me on these headphones. The music sound is ok. Pros: battery life and connectivity are great. Definitely go for Beats or Bose if you’re considering over ear headphones. The AirPods Max are subpar.

I am in the apple ecosystem and saw these AirPod Max’s being discounted most of the summer. I read some reviews about them and even though i did not really need it I was intrigued by its capabilities. I had read its noise cancelling is the best, it works well with other apple products, and the spatial sound capabilities are a must try. I was using a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3’s at the time. After trying them for a few months i can honestly say they are an excellent pair of headphones. The build quality is excellent with metal throughout, the ear pads are attached via magnets which are easy to clean and replaceable, and they have a good weight about them. The noise cancelling is better than the XM3, the sound is clear and bright, and the spatial audio makes it seem like surround sound. I was really impressed with these headphones. There were some things I did not like such as the case. It’s not very functional and I’m not sure how it can protect the headphones bouncing around in a backpack. I would get a third party protective case that has a magnetic flap to put the AirPods in sleep mode. The other thing i didn’t like is the hefty price tag. Luckily they were on sale for $100 off and i picked up a used excellent model which dropped the price another $50. I used the savings to enroll the headphones in applecare plus. One thing i will say about the used excellent, they came in the box smelling of heavy smoke and the ear pads were a bit dirty. The suggested apple cleaning method made them good as new but I’m docking a star because Best Buy shouldn’t have classified these as excellent. They were also outside of the 2 month applecare plus enrollment window so i had to bring it into the apple store for inspection before being able to purchase applecare plus. Turns out the applecare plus extends the warranty another 2 years from the date of inspection. I should have waited until the original warranty had a month or 2 left before enrolling. All in all a great pair of headphones that i use all the time now.

I use these EVERY day. And surprisingly, the silver pair aren’t hard to clean! I love how the fabric cushion detaches from the headphones- and I use a drop of clear, liquid laundry detergent and water to clean them like once a month (I get makeup stains). I WFH and wear these for hours on end- no other headphones last that long on my head without pain and headaches! I do not know what I would do without them!

I absolutely love all Apple products and I did not think they could top the wired headphones and it's the best I have ever experienced!

I like these headphones. I have the Sony Xm5 as well and its little more bass, where the Apple has more clarity. You would be happy with either but for the Apple loyalist these are prefect. Find some online video reviews and understnad some of the complaints before you buy. The issues where minor for me and I've looked pass it to enjoy them.

Awesome sound! These are truly noise canceling. Cant hear my kids!

The AirPods Max has top-notch noise canceling and a transparency mode to let you hear what’s going on around you with the click of a button. Volume and playback controls are assigned to the digital crown at the top of the right ear cup, and it is insanely smooth. At times, I find myself accidentally raising or lowering the volume when trying to readjust the headphones. Tiny sensors on the inside of the ear cups also auto-pause playback when you take off the headphones. Resuming playback is as simple as putting the headphones back on.

Love them. The quality is great, love the noise cancellation.
