Great price and perfect sound!!! The sound is so crisp.

The headphones are great, however….i bought the headphones when they were on sale. Best Buy automated verification canceled my order because my card, according to Best Buy, appeared to be fraudulent. The card was not fraudulent. I went to the store to rebuy the headphones but they said the headphones were no longer on sale and I had to pay the full price. This was not my fault. I did everything properly and the Best Buy automated verification made a mistake. I had to pay for their error. This was not right.

I upgraded to Max after losing my 5th pair of AirPods. Obviously it's a lot heavier but the sound quality and battery life makes up for it. I primarily use these while I work-- phone call quality is great. Also works great for outdoor winter runs but I expect my ears to overheat during the summer months.

Using these headphones at home for movies and TV have taken my watching experience to the next level. The depth and tone in the sound quality, mixed with the spacial audio and option for noise cancellation when in public spaces has elevated the way I enjoy cinema.

There are an abundance of reviews on the AirPods Max, so in this review I do not go through the usual attributes, but rather focus on specific items/issues. Hope this helps. When you (a prospective buyer) are here, it’s likely that you have already done your research, and that you are set to buy it but might have some reservations. Yes, the aesthetic, sound, functionality, and build quality are awesome. Phone call quality is phenomenal. Just deal with the case or buy another one from a 3rd party. Let me address certain issues that many of us might have concerns: 1) Battery drain. Yes, it was an issue. The root cause appears to be the old firmware which causes the APX not to be (or at least consistently) in sleep mode when placed in the case and likely connected via Bluetooth or constantly trying to look for connected device(s). After the firmware update, the issue was reasonably resolved — please do not expect it to not lose less than 3% over a span of 12 hours. 2) Connectivity issue. In an ideal situation, when an APX is taken out of the case and put on one’s head, there are a visual indicator and subsequently an audible indicator that the APX is connected to a mobile device (e.g., an iPhone). Indeed, the sound is output to the APX from the mobile device’s source. However, at times, the sound indicator is present, with or without the visual indicator, and the APX is not connected to the mobile device. I have to manually connect the APX. After multiple resets, this issue appears to be mitigated, and only happens once awhile. 3) Weight & moisture/heat. After wearing for an extended period of time, there’s moisture and heat built up over the ears, probably due to the mesh material. For me, neither the weight nor the built-up moister/heat is a contributing factor in causing unbearable discomfort. In deed it’s very comfortable to wear. To some, I could see that the built-up moister/heat could cause discomfort. A brief removal of the APX could likely help mitigate the moisture/heat issue. 4) Observation—automatic music resumes. With the auto head detection’s being turned on, when the APX is taken off/removed, music pauses and will resumes upon sensing that the APX is put back on your head over the ears. However, I observed that the music is paused and can be automatically resumed only if the APX is removed no longer than 15 seconds. If there are more than 15 seconds, resume functionality needs to be manually activated. In brief, it’s a great wireless headphone at its price range with a few nuisances that not only can be mitigated, but are substantially outweighed by the positive attributes.

I tried several pairs of premium headphones before I finally settled on the AirPods Max, which I've now owned for about seven months. I use them with my iPhone, iPad, and Windows laptop, and they blow all of the other options I tried out of the water. Sound quality, comfort, noise cancellation, etc.-- leagues beyond the competition. Although they are expensive, they are, without a doubt, my single favorite purchase of anything ever. After wearing them several hours a day every day for the last seven months, I have experienced two cons. First, they're significantly heavier than competitive headphones, resulting in the band pressing uncomfortably into my head after a while. If you experience this, I've found that removing them for all of twenty seconds eliminates the issue, making them feel as comfortable as ever. Second, the ear cups have begun to smell as a result of, you know, direct contact with a bodily orifice for extended periods of time. I have not experienced this with other headphones, even the pair that I had for several years. However, I eliminated the smell with the same spray I use for my running shoes, and there's no damage. In all other ways, I have experienced no discomfort, damage, or other downside. I would highly recommend this purchase.

Are these a great product? Yes. Does the word duh mean anything to you? BEYOND that though, something needs to be said about Best Buy and FedEx comin’ in clutch in the 11th hour. If you’re like me then you have your best pre-vacation epiphanies the 24 to 48 hours just before you have to leave. I didn’t even know these existed two days before we were going to head out and when I did see them, obviously I HAD to have them for my listening pleasure. Darn if they didn’t ship and arrive a clean hour plus before we pulled out of the driveway, allowing me ample to time to fully charge them up (they showed up with 78%). Thank you Apple for making yet another amazing product, thank you Best Buy for the genius way you handle an impulse buy in the middle of the night and thank you Fed Ex for not taking that detour to Starbucks.

Putting price aside, this headphones are the best in the business.

These are amazing. They better be, for the price. High dollar, but they are a premium product. They were a gift for my teenage daughter and she loves them. The sound quality is superb.

These are fantastic headphones. Quite mode is really quiet. Quality of the sound is astonishing… best out there. Quality of the build is top notch. The case is a throw away…but there are other cases you can buy that are great. In short, this is a product that will make you feel special. A cut above. Worth every penny.

Inscredible sound quality and i loved how they looked. the only reaosn i gave 4/5 stars was the price was very expensive and they were heavy so keeping them on for long periods of time was slightly difficult.

The sound is great, build quility is great, of course the apple ecosystem is a plus. Only thing is the price for tech that is getting dated. The newer air pod pros have tech that has yet to come over to these yet like USB C and pther aound features. If you can get them on sale, I say go for it, you won’t be disappointed.

Love them, they were a gift to my Granddaughter, now I can be in the same room, and hear her on TikTok.
